USC’s offense is beautiful!!!

no, they lost because of turnovers and their QB getting hurt. Sure, he got hurt on a strip sack, but Epenesa is probably the 2nd best DE in the country.

USC had 22 yds. on 18 carries, and their QB got sacked 5 times...my point stands, their OL play was horrible.

No such thing as a great offense that accommodates Tinkerbells on the OL.

USC lost their #1 QB in the beginning of the 3rd Q. Sprained shoulder/elbow. The kid can throw the ball. He was a late pickup -3 star kid from Arizona with a cannon for an arm. His high school QB coach was Kurt Warner. The backup couldn't do anything. Their defense stunk. It's a big problem.

and they still will lose just like last night.

bad coaches dont magically become good, despite your best efforts here to try to imply all we need is an OC.

I never once implied that all we need is an OC. Reading comprehension is a skill you clearly never acquired.

USC air raid spread-24
Iowa pro style- 49

CIS..this makes no senae

USC faced a better team. Doesn’t change the fact that their offense is a thing of beauty. Iowa couldn’t stop then until USC’s QB got hurt. I would like to see that offense or something similar at Miami.

You think wider splits are helping this offensive line?
It could help motivate if properly utilized.

Iowa is a better team with a better coach. Ferentz is a really good HC. He’s a family man though, and would rather spend his career in one place.

Two years ago Iowa played OSU and whipped the Buckeyes by 30+.

They don't have a running game, they averaged less than 4 yds. a carry this season.

I'm not against the spread, but I'd rather have an OU or Clemson type spread with a running game.

We couldn’t run Clemson’s offense right now. Don’t have the OL for that.

You guys are priceless. Is this thread a parody? USC boards are loaded with threads ripping the collapse of the physical identity on offense. There are threads asking if the Harrell extension was a mistake. Within those threads are posters shouting that hiring him in the first place was a mistake. There is no running game. It is all sickening finesse. The quarterbacks are musical chairs because one after another gets battered.

Iowa's biggest problem was not to laugh.

Heck, Sean Salisbury posted a long video today ranting about all the problems in the USC program including no threat of physicality on offense.

That's what I have emphasized all along. Anyone who thinks spread is a magical cure is a fool. It needs to be power oriented with high volume rushing attempts. Hurry up and run thew ball. Lots of basic off tackle runs disguised with window dressing motion and aided by tempo.

If all you do is drop back time and again like a Leach version in empty sets then you are nothing but a cupcake.

I learned years ago that the best offense in America to these clowns is the one that is on TV right now. They see a completed forward pass and want to hire that team's OC on the spot.

They also have their pick of 5* Cali QBs .... essentially they have their choice of filet mignon and we have vegan dog food.

If we could recruit, we could realistically have had Teddy, Brissett and Jackson to name a few, the last decade of purgatory.
