each air raid disciple is different. leach/harell don't run much. but yost does, so does riley and any disciple of art briles uses run also. the sooners run a version of the air raid with power principles due to their strong oline. it all depends on the guy running and calling plays.I could certainly see the Air Raid working in Miami. Would hate not utilizing the RB talent we always have, but...
RBs can a absolutely eat in a spread. You have wider splits and keep the D off balance with a lot of throwing. Quick hitters go for long gains.

Literally any passing attack is effective in the pac12 since forever.
They are doing this against a B1G defense tonight.
Meanwhile Miami’s Stone Age offense hasn’t crossed midfield in a bowl game in like 15 years.

Maybe dumb question but why is this? Why are defenses so bad in pac12?
Actually, Iowa's offense is making plays too..
Exactly...Iowa looks like how we used to look, classic 4-3 defense, with a pro style offense. Kirk Ferentz is very underrated.
The sign of a veteran, very good coach. Here’s the thing, Iowa has an identity. Ferentz knows his limitations in recruiting, however he focused on coaching and developing solid OL and TE’s. Every year you know what to expect from a Ferentz coached team. And on D they are tough. He’s a good coach who does less with more. However, that offense runs because of a great OL.

I’d take Ferentz over the crap Miami has put out - Shannon, Golden, Richt and now Diaz any Saturday of the month and any month of the year for the past 14 years!
