Sounds like it needs to get really ugly before any changes are made.

As an aside, people on this board are soft as toilet paper. Urban flames out in Jax and leaves NFL - very high probability. If you don’t believe Miami offers him a compelling enough opportunity from a recruiting / talent perspective, then it really is over for Miami.

I'd love to spend 5 minutes in your head - and posters similar to yourself.

The answer isn't an all-time great College HC (with a ton of baggage) or fold the program.

The answer is bringing in a good HC who has all the qualities we're currently lacking - leadership, player development, a rolodex of good co-ordinators and position coaches. There are SO many HCs out there who could make a huge name for themselves with our unique (besides USC) situation.

He’s called this a bad job before or however he put it. Whatever we’d offer someone else would offer that he’d want over us.

So Urban, a guy who only goes where he knows he can win and fakes heart attacks when his winnings slip…would coach at Miami. How much, in your mind, would it take for Urban to coach in Miami. Add to that how much would he expect his coaching and analyst staff to be paid and what would he demand for recruiting budget.
