(Also why “rat poison” was never a real thing with this team)

When a wining program lets their qb1 walk without batting an eye, it’s a sign. when you hear he’s an issue in the locker room, it’s a sign. but our DOPEY head of player personnel thought he was smarter than everyone else. Paid out the azzzz and now we’re here
Wasn’t it that he didn’t have the receivers/all the drops at UGA?

Or was it that the OC Bobo stinks?

Because they already downed a rat poison ****tail before the season began.

DONT BE A FAN LATER passive aggressive *****assness that this university has had for a long time. Eat ****, Beck.
Yeah I can’t stand the “rat poison” stuff

Saban coins it by creating a dynasty that really only could be stopped by themselves

We win a few games and suddenly we are talking rat poison?

It’s not rat poison. It’s just simple regression to the mean per usual

Lance and myself have went back in forth about Beck for days now in text. Lance is high on him and I’m more in between both of y’all in my take.

I’ve never been the biggest Beck fan. The UF game is the one game I’ve used the most examples with but he was awful in other games too. UF the int’s were as bad as as you can find from a player at his age / experience. I’d been much more into this pickup if there was no injury but even healthy I understand what comes with him. He can be reckless and very streaky. For three quarters he can be bad but to his credit he’s proven to make plays late. My question is will our defenses be able to keep us in games as long as his did at UGA? He had a very good defense to lean on while he struggled.

Now the addition has grown on me some since I knew the other options but this is very risky.

This isn’t as much of a sure thing as some lead you to believe. He’s the hot chick with big ***** and the big *** but is a complete **** . She refuses to cook or clean and her only job is to be looked at . People fall in love with his arm talent and the thought of what he can be but overlook the negatives. Once again that’s before the injury , that’s its own separate conversation.

My biggest positive with the take is Dawson his offense and the OL. That’s a big upgrade over Bobo the clown. But there’s still going to be some TVD hot and cold moments. Be prepared. I still think with our talent and potential of skill guys being added he could be enough to get us where we want to go. Just understand he’s not Cam or anything at that level. He doesn’t have the same love , passion or drive for the game that Cam did. Not even close. Which is another issue I have with him. Maybe the money and pressure changes that.

At the end of the day he’s the best option we had by this late in the game.
@ST26 laugh at this

I’ve bumped that as well friend now run and laughter at both posts
You realize you’re talking to Admiral Efficient?

Just because we led in every statistical category last year doesn’t mean we can’t be even more efficient in 2025, especially with a stronger offensive line, a more reliable run game, and hopefully a better defense. I don't understand how that is so hard for people to comprehend. No, we will likely not be putting up 44 points a game and will definitely not just be throwing the ball a million times a game

If our defense was even average last year, our offensive philosophy would have looked a lot different. The passing attack would have gotten us a quick lead (ex: 21-0 against Cuse), and then let Martinez/Fletcher wear them down

A ****** doesn’t change his stripes

If I would have known we’d be one of the most penalized teams in college football, yes I probably wouldn’t have said that. If I would have known Mario was going to hold everyone on such a tight leash this year, yes I probably wouldn’t have said it

That fact we that we aren’t one of the top offenses in the country this season with all the talent we have is absolutely mind boggling. It’s pretty damm embarrassing if you ask me. I admitted I was wrong several times already. At least I don’t go back to delete and edit previous comments. We certainly know a lot of people do that lol. Particularly in these Beck threads. Just caught someone yesterday

I mean this certainly isn’t an issue with lack of talent. Mario let Dawson/Ward have full range of the offense last year. I fully expected the same this season. We crumbled against Cuse and GT, so Mario felt the need to have more control so we could avoid those losses. Obviously it did the opposite

You can celebrate the losses to SMU and Louisville all you want. You ended up being right, so I can understand why you’re dancing. If I was right, I’d certainly be taunting it in your face 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Celebrate? :monkey-serious:

The same way many of us knew there was no way the offense was going to be anywhere near what it was last year is the same way you could see these losses coming weeks ahead of time.

The only surprise is how boringly mediocre the offense has been. The same way we were surprised by how bad our defense was last year.
