IQ gap.We are considered a top spender by the rest of America- coaches, media, agents.
The only place I see people questioning our spending is our message boards, I think there is an information gap.

Solid? What about all the positions that weren't addressed? This is eerily similar to have the fall portal started. A bunch of complaining then it turned out to be solid. Let’s see what happens.
Maybe our Canes have to call "a few bluffs".......if it makes sense then up the ante on merit and on potential, but if the player's agent wants to strong arm...then the waiting game begins....and it is cat and mouse....I think about that a lot. It’s really on the players and his agent to really verify the legitimacy of offers before steering the kid into the portal only to get caught with your pants down like Nico did.
And I wonder if the agents lie and say this team is offering 40% more just to bluff Miami to spend more. Lots of games being played with no rules on how to play lol.
But that’s why Mario gets paid the big bucks.

Promises........promises........then ante up time play dumb......I hope you’re right but kids could go publicly they are entering portal even if schools do not submit paperwork. There are rumors schools may be pulling a Wisconsin on kids.
The winter portal was incomplete. We addressed very few needs. So you wanted a whole new team in a month?
No, gotta wait until the portal closes and see what they end up with
That is at least a decent sign about Miami's roster. It’s about key guys being offered excessive NIL deals to leave. I think it’s pretty clear from what D$$ wrote. First priority is to keep the important guys on the roster. Then see what’s up
This. If we’ve learned anything these past couple of years, it’s that Mario surprises us. Sometimes in a good way, like Ward and Beck, sometimes in a bad way like not pursuing more and better DBs last cycle. Still too early to tell this cycle how the cards will play out.
FWIW, we desperately wanted Stone a year ago and he looks to be on the trajectory we expected him to be on. So go out and get him and pay the money which we would have had to pay anyway, if he had chosen us. He gives us two years of goodness at least.Even then we need another situational piece for the DT position group.
Yea it’s terrible. Our secondary actually got worse! And we couldn’t even get a QB after having cam Ward. Unserious progrumThe winter portal was incomplete. We addressed very few needs.
You said we can't depend on a tf. I have an example. Toney is being hyped like he's a dog.Jeremiah Smith,
I don’t understand why ya’ll can’t grasp the idea of us addressing CB and QB in the winter portal but still need WR, LB, and more Safeties and DL, lol. Does addressing the CB room after it being the worst position group at UM since I’ve been alive just override falling short at several other spots? Why is it so hard for some of you to be objective and look at things without O&G glasses? Honest question? The reason we are all active on this portal forum right now is because we still have A LOT of needs. So what is the issue with someone saying the portal haul was incomplete? Is that false?
….so yes, it is incomplete? We NEED a WR1, a LB, a S and a rotation DT. So we need 3 out of the 22 starting spots right now.
We addressed the biggest needs in the winter and the next the spring. I’m not seeing how this is some travesty
Depends on how you look at it. People have the extreme thirst for a national championship and it views that any effort falling short of that is viewed as a failure.I don’t understand why ya’ll can’t grasp the idea of us addressing CB and QB in the winter portal but still need WR, LB, and more Safeties and DL, lol. I’m with you. The conversation around NIL and caps is off to me when the real issue is portal and contracts. There will always be outliers (Ohtani and Soto) but fix the structure and everything will mostly work in our favor. The whole system needs to be fixed but its the NCAA so its not surprising that you have to literally fight and pay to keep your team at 3 portal windows with other teams tampering. Not even professional sports is like that and has rules in place to prevent that
If anything make it just one window
Or do the obvious, make each initial commitment and NIL deal and actual contract with set terms and duration.
Right now its one year free agency, frenzy, with no defined boundaries
