Look I know that the NCAA wants to clamp down on these types of penalties but I do have a big beef about this.
On that last play Rosier throws a perfect pass and Langham makes the perfect play to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat against a bitter rival that you've lost to for 7 straight years with SIX seconds left on the clock. The players on the field run to congratulate Langham and are jumping up and down with joy which is perfectly understandable.
From the TV coverage I never saw a late hit or any UM player talking to or taunting an FSU player. I do not know what the NCAA and the refs want a team to do in this situation. Should they all get up and cry or put a towel over their heads.
I mean this is still a game and the raw emotions of an instant classic are hard to hold back. It was true genuine joy on one team and shocked faces on the other but that is the nature of sports and that is why fans show up to these big games. As long as it wasn't over the top the refs should understand the situation and just keep the flag in their pockets.
