Unpopular here but the hatred for coaches is bizarre

I remember listening to Brian Billick on the #1 quality he looked for in a QB and he said studying film tape.

I'd be in favor of starting JB the rest of the way - 100% of the snaps.
He's no where near as Emory is in regards to film room study. People close to the situation including @Brooklyndee who I've spoken to said the Kid spends hours upon hours studying....No Social media, no bar hopping...just a studious young man. Dorsey was exactly the same.

A well thought out and mature perspective.

This ain't gonna go over well in this day and age. Nor with many on this board.

(I happen to agree with you 100%)
Not that this matters but the consensus of likes to dislikes seem to agree as well. For some reason, this country has adopted anger and s**t talking as an acceptable for of communication but when called out its called "soft" or even dumber "beta". We have a major brain cell epidemic that seems to be festering. Thank you for your response.

OP realizes his opinion is unpopular by his own admission, yet has spent pages crying about the reaction to his thread.

All I know is the quote that was telling to me was that JB said in spring Emory was always waking up before him and making sure JB was up to go get work in. Love the 2 guys grinding together

People really underestimate the impact the coach has in college football.

It's like thinking professional poker players are just lucky. Bad coaches continuously run into personnel problems and good ones always seem to find a way

If not celebrating "almost" is tough then ok.
Maybe try and look at it a different way...seriously...just try it. Last year, we saw what might have been the worst UM team in recent history. FSU absolutely destroyed us on our home field. This year, they started a freshman QB and still had a chance to win. Now, you use the word "celebrate" to enhance your stance but its not as much of a celebration as it is understanding the major progress from last year to this year. I am not sure if you watch every game like I do, but if you do and dont see a top O Line and top D in the country, then I understand your anger. Also, on a side note, being angrier than other fans doesn't make you "manlier" or tougher than everyone else. It also doesn't make the team better by wearing the "angriest fans" championship belt. I would like to stress again, for the hundredth time...being critical is part of the game...I have been critical of Mario for sure but hating the guy is bizarre behavior to me along with still being hung up on hating prior coaches. Very weird...thats all...at the risk of sounding "soft", I hope you have a fantastic day!

If you want to believe in the future go for it. I'm not here to convince anyone otherwise. Just don't move the goalpost and expect me to still kick it. I don't get angry when everything I predicted comes to fruition. I got paid 8 million less than Mario to see this coming. That's funny to me.

Hey man...however you want to cope, you do your thing. Just curious. Were we supposed to win the National Championship this year in your opinion?

Look, there are no moral victories

I predicted 7-5 in March. Winning 8 games should have been our floor. Instead, it's our ceiling.
i had 7-5 bc of my faith in the coach. we have the OL and D to be better than that. instead of we ended up in 2 OT games at home vs some average to bad ACC teams, lost at home to another one, and got blown out twice on the road by another 2. were probably going 6-6 bc louisville is playing for something bigger than an ACCCG and we just blew our load in our super bowl of the season along with losing Emory and then at BC final game of the year in the cold (when was the last time we won on the road in late november in Boston?)

The QB room imploding was the most predictable thing about this season.

Forget about football right now...by your name, I see you follow hoops too...now THAT is a well run program...beyond excited to see how they finish up this year

i love hoops but its an old AOL screen name that made it easier to remmeber for random sites. L is the shining diamond in the AD. amazing the best coach weve hired is the one that had to send in his own resume. not even us conducting a search. maybe we need to hire football and baseball coaches that way post mario and JT.

beyond the QB room, there were signs that this team wasnt disciplined and it reflected coaching. penalties and turnovers were consistent from day 1 of the season even against g5/fcs teams and thats w TVD healthy and playing well. it got worse once we played p5 comp.

Coach L is without a doubt one of the best hires the University ever made.
