More than one choice/option would be nice. So would message board discussion without ****ing antics in every thread.
Is that why you made the bolded post?
Yes. It was entirely necessary since every thread is about not having Golden as our coach and then a list of names with usually very little depth to them and then some attack on Blake James being a **** and Shalala hating football or making bad hires. So usually we don't need more than one head coach, but since the collective opinion is that the one we have is no longer a good option, I thought we would actually discuss options, the goods and bads, likelihood of them coming here or obstacles to that, bolting to the NFL, are they SEC guys, tied to a school or philosophy we like or don't like, etc.
Do you need me to tell you to ignore those posts or posts that you don't like?
So the message board preference is to not breakdown the coaches like I started to to see what may be out there after Golden, but is throwing names out with no substance, attacking the current coaches, and for those who would rather discuss details, ignore every thread?

I can't control the message board posters, so like I said lead by example. Start a trend.
NUMBER SIGN TRENDSTARTER

The U is a pro style team, on both sides of the ball. That is the reason we put more kids in the NFL than any other school. If you want to bring Oregon's offense here we will spread it out, score points, give up as many on Defense and chase away a ton of kids with NFL mindsets.
Other than that.. great idea.
My concerns with Narduzzi are as follows:
1. Never been an HC (not a must at all),
2. Turns 49 before NEXT season, and
3. Don't know if he recruits or could recruit (asking him to recruit SF may be challenging)
Not too concerned with his ability to coach a D.

Amen.
All the possibles to date either don't have proven ability, have never been a HC, or to be honest - really don't fit here.
We cannot afford another four years of some SOB learning on the job, or trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.
When the guy who fits here, who has the experience, is actually available, and is proven right here at Miami - is ripe for the taking.
Butch Davis without a doubt, will make us great again. The others? Another crapshoot.
Some Realistic HC Candidates (in no particular order, not bringing up Butch, Morris or Frost)
List (A) [Coaches with HC Experience]
1. Chud
2. Mark Hudspeth
3. Josh McDaniels
4. Lovie Smith (was interested in the USC job)
5. Jim McElwain
6. Raheem Morris
List (B) [Coaches with no HC Experience]
1. Rhett Lashlee
2. Justin Wilcox
3. Tom Herman
4. Nathaniel Hackett
5. Dan Quinn
6. Kyle Shanahan
7. Jake Spavital
8. Josh Heupel
9. Pep Hamilton
List (C) [Coaches to watch if our Admin doesn’t make the necessary move this year]
1. Kevin Wilson
2. Bob Diasco
3. Rod Carey
Ed Orgeron is someone no one has mentioned
but I am still not at the tar and feather the current staff mode like everyone else
I hadn't heard about Hudspeth until I saw him on your list.. Spent the last hour loking over what he's done at ULL and the coaching tree he comes from. Very impressed! Plus, he's not making much at ULL..

He is an interesting name. Will be getting a job at a much better school after this season.
The positive...
- HC Experience (11+ Years) + 94-31 College Record
- 3-0 in Bowl Games + Won the Sun Belt + Beat Petrino
- Relatively Young 45
- Took a 3-9 (3-5) ULL team to 9-4 (6-2) in one season
Potential Concern
- Recruiting South Florida
I honestly believe if a new coach is hired, he'll need to retain some of the staff just for recruiting. Guys like Hurlie, Ice, and Coley aren't Golden guys, they're MIAMI guys. It will help with the transition.
Coley hasn't shown much as an OC (I can see why he wasn't calling plays @ FSU) and I doubt he'd stay after being 'demoted' to a position coach. He's a beastly recruiter tho. With Hudspeth being a former OC himself, I'd hope he'd sell Coley on keeping the OC title and mentoring him on how to actually call plays, set-up Defenses, and attack weaknesses.
I know I'm getting way ahead of myself but its a nice dream!
posted a couple links for the top OCs in the game that I would like to see as head coaches. If your going to go the assistant route then you've got to get one of the best in my opinion. If were looking at someone with HC experience with no baggage and has proven that he can get the job done at a lower tier FBS school then this is the number one candidate hands down who I think would be interested in the job
