UNC..this should mean something

I looked at their first 2 drives in each game:

TCU
10 plays, FG
3 and out

ETSU
3 and out
3 plays, TD

Clemson
6 plays, TD
10 plays, TD

Notre Dame
7 plays, TD
1 play, INT

Pitt
7 plays, punt
3 and out

Duke
11 plays, FG
3 plays, TD (only an 11 yard drive after a blocked punt)

Syracuse
7 plays, TD
13 plays, FG

You're definitely onto something. They are 17th in the country in 1st quarter points per game (Miami is 12th).
But they're only 64th in the country in first half scoring.
They're 125th in the country in 2nd half scoring.
93rd in the country in overall scoring for the entire game.

So they're definitely fast starters. Especially with this game on the road, at night, on Halloween, with the game sold out and crazy, it's imperative we shut them down early.

I think even if we're tied at the end of the first quarter, or only down 3, that's probably a win. They come out swinging, for sure. We are 15th in the country in 1st quarter scoring allowed, so if we can make it a stalemate, I feel good about pulling away in the next 3 quarters and winning comfortably.

But let's not go insane if it's 7-0 or 3-0 in the first quarter.

this is why I pay $500 a year for the CIS subscription. great information here. really good. provides tremendous perspective and understanding of UNC.

There is nothing special about UNC when you look at their stats.

The only way we lose is if we beat ourselves. If we play even an average game, I can't see us losing.
Aside from a couple years when they had a QB, there hasn't been anything special about this team for decades, yet Miami keeps losing to them. It's maddening

After fsu, nd,uf, unc is our biggest rival in the last 20 years. The hate people give osu should be directed towards unc, they’re actually a rival

Send UNC packin, we better give belt. **** belt, we better beat them with a chain with spikes. And send Bill to a nursing home after this game. This is one of those teams that started the upside down U, **** that baby powder blue **** MJ (I will still wear his sneakers though) **** the basketball program. We better murk this team.

Winning this game puts us in conference championship. That should be the main focus. Win this game and we could stumble against VT and still get it in.
I was wondering if this would clinch it. If it doesn’t, then it gives us a 90% or more chance of clinching. It’s so confusing with some teams playing only 8 ACC games and others 9. This would put us at 6-0 heading into ND, which I like because while I know we all want to beat those douche bags, that game matters wayyyy more to ND than to us in terms of CFP chances.

This is like the Clemson game. This is revenge. This is a statement being made that we do not lose to teams like North Carolina anymore.

Mario lost to UNC his first and second year. They were obnoxious. U's down every play.

He will run the score up if he can.

That's what we said about FSU too..... we need to stomp from the first quarter
