Clemson

10 plays, TD
Notre Dame
7 plays, TD
1 play, INT

3 and out

You're definitely onto something. They are 17th in the country in 1st quarter points per game (Miami is 12th).
But they're only 64th in the country in first half scoring.
They're 125th in the country in 2nd half scoring.
93rd in the country in overall scoring for the entire game.
So they're definitely fast starters. Especially with this game on the road, at night, on Halloween, with the game sold out and crazy, it's imperative we shut them down early.
I think even if we're tied at the end of the first quarter, or only down 3, that's probably a win. They come out swinging, for sure. We are 15th in the country in 1st quarter scoring allowed, so if we can make it a stalemate, I feel good about pulling away in the next 3 quarters and winning comfortably.
But let's not go insane if it's 7-0 or 3-0 in the first quarter.
Aside from a couple years when they had a QB, there hasn't been anything special about this team for decades, yet Miami keeps losing to them. It's maddeningThere is nothing special about UNC when you look at their stats.
The only way we lose is if we beat ourselves. If we play even an average game, I can't see us losing.
I remember one of those games where Hakeem Nicks went OFF!!!!0-5 in the last 5 against them should be more than enough to have this one get our full attention.
I was wondering if this would clinch it. If it doesn’t, then it gives us a 90% or more chance of clinching. It’s so confusing with some teams playing only 8 ACC games and others 9. This would put us at 6-0 heading into ND, which I like because while I know we all want to beat those douche bags, that game matters wayyyy more to ND than to us in terms of CFP chances.Winning this game puts us in conference championship. That should be the main focus. Win this game and we could stumble against VT and still get it in.
