Throw out any preconceived notions about Brown as a coach- who thinks it's a good idea to hire someone that under a best case scenario has your program back to respectability as he turns 70?

Brown might be worthy of a job somewhere but you don't bring him in to rebuild a program.

What part of "old and washed up" do the decision makers at P5 programs not get? Richt, Miles and Mack all got fired because their previous employers, after many years and many chances, determined that they were old and washed up. It's pathetic.

Mack Brown is a carbon copy of Richt, only difference is he was able to set aside his stubbornness and ego for one transcendent player -- Vince Young -- and as a result he got a Natty out of it.

And just to illustrate how stubborn and arrogant these guys are, Brown reverted right back to his old concepts and beliefs on what a QB should be bc even tho Vince Young got him a ring, best believe it ate him up having to change his offensive system.
