Tickets: I just visited the official Cal Ticket site. On August 7, the site will begin selling single game tickets. I’m hoping that these will be somewhat (or a lot) cheaper than seats purchased via seatgeek, stubhub, etc.
Does anyone know how to buy tickets to the Canes pregame event on the Cal Rugby Field? I don’t know who controls entrance to that event.
Thanks.
Thanks for the advise. We were going to rent a car, but now we will use the BART to get to the game. And we also changed hotels. Now booked at the Hyatt Regency close to the Ferry Building. From SFO, I’d stay in a hotel near the Ferry Building on the Embarcadero fronting SF Bay. Excellent walking area with multiple restaurants. It’s a foodies paradise inside the Ferry Building. The farmer’s market there is outstanding.
For the game, I’d take BART to the Berkeley stop and then walk up through the Cal campus to the stadium. Alternatively, get an Uber in SF for the 15-20 minute ride to the stadium. A rental car does you no good as there is virtually no parking near Cal.
Great moves. Thanks for the advise. We were going to rent a car, but now we will use the BART to get to the game. And we also changed hotels. Now booked at the Hyatt Regency close to the Ferry Building.
Tailgating at Cal is difficult in that you can’t get cars anywhere close to the stadium. I have tailgated there but had to haul my coolers, blanket, food, etc from my distantly parked car. Not the best.Flying into LA that Thursday (to sell or not to sell my TNF falcons tixs) or Friday morning. Driving up from LA with my cousin and nephew. My big bro is driving down from the sac town. Nobody is really a canes fan but me. We fam so I’m sure they will throw on some green and orange. We are getting hotel rooms in San Fran Friday thru Sunday. Plan to party Friday and Saturday after the game. We are currently trying to workout a hookup for the 49ers game that Sunday. Make it an ultimate sports weekend! What’s the move on a tailgate??? I’m down for one. Good trees and liq!
Thanks. I also did not see it on the Hurricane Sports site. I sent them an email….no response. I’ll try the the Alumni. If you don't see it on hurricanesports.com then it is probably organized by the UM Alumni Association.
Checked out the Miami Alumni site and Hurricane Club site. No reference whatsoever to a pregame event at Cal.Thanks. I also did not see it on the Hurricane Sports site. I sent them an email….no response. I’ll try the the Alumni.

D$, You’ve got empuje, how do we all get into the Cane pregame party on the Cal campus?
Thanks.
ThanksLast I heard, there was no official UM festivities planned, but that could change (they just made a belated attempt to hold an event in Hogtown)
MergedAs an LA resident I'm pretty excited to see the Canes coming out to the West Coast. Any West Coast Canes planning on attending? Anyone making plans to travel to Berkley? Listening to some USC fans talk about how they are going to miss going to Berkley to mollywop the Bears kinda got me interested in what it will be like up there. Certainly not a hostile environment for visiting fans, but should be unique. Canes need to avenge that 2008 Emerald Bowl...
Anyone interested in a tailgate or CIS meet-up party that weekend?
Check out this thread
UM gave me seats in Section O.Does anyone know what side Miami will be on? Ticket sites have us on different sides and I’m not sure which side to purchase tickets for
For those of us not in the LA alumni group, can you let us know the finalized plans now that the time is set? Thank you!LA Canes Alumni are planning a pre-game event at:
