I know people that were connected to Lane at FAU. His goal is to go back to the NFL and that's what he's prioritizing. UM would be just a step to him that brings him closer to that. He would leave as soon as he gets his first NFL offer.
 
So Mario is going to get boat raced for the 2nd time tonight and be on a flight to Miami afterwards?

That's what is all over the place, even outside of UM sources, that UM was waiting for Manny's buyout to hit a discount after December 1, 2021 and big announcement for December 4, 2021 for Mario. Hard to buy anything like that (even though he is not my first choice at all without STELLAR coordinators) when this Admin has burned us for so long, but there is logic at least to it.

My opinion, Mario should viewed as the floor during the search committee, if there is one.

I wouldn't have any issues if Miami hired Mario after interviewing (legitimate) Kiffin and Stoops.

Sure. I’m not all in on Mario or anybody for that matter. They all have warts and I don’t know enough to say who is going to be better. But youre taking a big step down from Belichick and Reid to Kelly and Riley

Not just Andy Slater. Feldman has said he believes if Miami went after Kiffin they would get him. He said that on Wednesday on Cowherd's show. He's said things similar in the last couple of weeks
