No, you shoot your shot with the elite guys and work your way down list (USC, LSU).

You don't start with Mario and missed out on more qualified candidates.

My opinion, Mario should viewed as the floor during the search committee, if there is one.

I wouldn't have any issues if Miami hired Mario after interviewing (legitimate) Kiffin and Stoops.

Lol just say he’s the only name you know. There’s a reason he’s been without a job. Was he good? Of course. He’s probably washed up though. His last coaching hire got fired at 2-10

Agreed. Lane is my 1a to Mario being 1b, but I don't believe the U has promised anything to him or led him on.

If the impossible happens and we keep Manny when we could have had Lane, he shouldn't be mad, he should show sympathy and send a fruit basket.

Exactly. Kiffin only gains from being associated with our search and any anger would just be him upset in general that he's stuck in "brown water" Mississippi for another year.

If we end up just keeping Manny I sooooo hope he throws some more than deserved shade/ridicule our way in some manner.
