We seem to be after a ton of DEs in this class but very few DTs,maybe Bostwik is already in their plans.

bostwick never really was in love with UF. ncaa scared him. muschamp pushed that hard to recruits.

Take. We need DT's. He had a good first step if I remember correctly. Certainly has the size we need.

Go Canes!

I don't know how so many people have made such definitive decisions on whether we should take him without knowing what his problems were and whether they are solved.

If Folden gets fired this year our D-line would better going out then he ever had during his tenure at miami

Take the kid lolol why not

Gators DT Jaynard Bostwick granted transfer release by Florida
By Andy Hutchins July 24,2015

Florida defensive tackle Jay-nard Bostwick has sought and received a release to transfer from Florida, according to Thomas Goldkamp of 247Sports.

Update, 1:40 p.m.: Florida has confirmed Goldkamp's report.

Bostwick had been away from the team since the end of the 2014 season while dealing with what Jim McElwain termed "personal issues," so his decision to transfer is no shock. And he wasn't expected to do much in 2015 after a relatively quiet beginning to his career as a Gator: Bostwick redshirted in 2013, and played sparingly in 2014, appearing in five games and recording just three tackles on the year.

Bostwick's most prominent moment as a Gator, in fact, may have come for his cameo role in a saga revolving around something he didn't do. After outlets including The Palm Beach Post and Gator Country erroneously reported before Florida's 2013 opener that Bostwick had been suspended for a violation of team rules (along with four other players who were, in fact, suspended for violations of team rules), then-Florida coach Will Muschamp laid into those reporters in his infamous "church mice in here" diatribe.

Bostwick was later suspended for Florida's 2014 opener against Idaho.

Florida's unlikely to put much in the way of transfer restrictions on Bostwick. McElwain has been open about wanting to help players who want to transfer move on, saying "If they don't want to be here, I don't want to keep them here" to reporters prior to meeting with a booster club in April.

And despite what Bostwick's father is saying...

Jay-nard Bostwick's father says a final decision on if Bostwick will transfer or not will be made next week.

...I expect he'll eventually leave Florida. Taking an entire offseason off is typically not the way to get playing time or respect from a new coaching staff, you know?

Bostwick's departure would be the sixth by a Florida player for something other than the NFL Draft since McElwain's hiring, following the expected transfer of Jeff Driskel, announced dismissal of Gerald Willis, quieter exit of J.C. Jackson, surprising departure of early enrollee Daniel Imatorbhebhe, and transfer of Skyler Morhninweg.

still didn't get why he committed there. literally looked depressed during one his interviews following NSD

That was the guy that posted the pictures of himself holding a huge wad of cash after signing with Alabama. I guess his troubles weren't actually gone after all.
Alabama had a DL transfer this year, Dee Liner. Did he ever find a destination?

Arkansas State. Remember there being a lot of UNC smoke at one point...must have had grade issues or something.

If Miami were to add UF Transfer DT Jaynard Bostick and also 2015 Texas NLI-Releasee Du'Vonta Lampkin when he is released from his NLI on Aug 31 when UT's fall enrollment closes (Charlie Strong is straight crapping on this kid, he is being real salty).

Here is link to the release story on Lampkin.

But if Miami can add these two combined with the young players we have currently, literally over night makes the DLine a team strength next year.

Go Canes

He already used a RS season, so I'd expect him to go 1AA so he can play right away. He'd be giving away an entire season of eligibility if he transfers to a D1 program.

Seems like a head case anyway. It's hard to get anything out of those big DTs with questionable motors. You have to be a war pig to thrive in the middle of the DL, and if he's off somewhere moping with personal problems he's probably a bum.

This fan base is so desperate for some production from the DT spot, they'd take a dead elephant with an electrode up its ***, if it moved its legs.

We already found out that the darius smith experiment didn't work at all
