UCF

How long til UCF moves into Power 5. 50,000 students, home stadium, beating marquis teams. Don't think it will be long.

Without Frost they are back to mediocrity in the near future. He was the head of that snake.

if they stay in that conference they will eat. Its similar to fau/fiu in their conferences where they can out talent all other teams in conference with big 3 castaways.
They have a solid recruiting class right now too.

Also, their AD is nice. I like the new hire as well. Young, savage offensive minded guy.

College footballs starting to remind me of MLB and reading Moneyball. The old guard is being pushed out by younger guys with progressive ways of thinking. The days of teams winning with coaches with corncob pipes regurgitating football philosophies from 50 year prior are over.

which is why imma need pastor richt or his son that does nothing to get with the game on that side of the ball ASAP. sINCE LITTLE RICHT DOES NOTHING EXCEPT RECRUIT QBS HE NEEDS TO BE THE GUY ATTNDING ALL THESE OFF SEASON spread teams camps or consultations. Our offense is extremely basic i dont know how much you guys know it or not. We got the guys comng in now with these recruiting class, we need ways to get them going...shouldnt have taken them so long to realize DJ Dallas, Njoku, or Herndon are legit mismatches and players, we shouldnt be throwing fades to 5'9 guys constantly int he redszone with three 6'3+ guys on the roster at wr.

can't understand how they could possibly win. It seems like no one on the offense knew any of the plays.... They would get up to the line of scrimmage and then at least one of the players would suddenly move to another position. Then as soon as they found a position they liked, someone else would start moving and not stop until the ball was snapped.. They should look at our formations, all of our guys know how to line up and where to line up.

Jesus Christ you mother****ers are obsessed with pre-snap motion.

It helps the QB make his reads, sure, but at the end of the day if he can't make an accurate pass it's wasted.

just part of the equation. steps have to be taken in order. would rather have a QB that is accurate but can't read a defense ??

Richt has total control over this program and no one is going to make him make changes. And he's not going fire any coaches.

Any one remember that Snelson wr from UCF was once committed to us. LOL. That kid and Smith may be the best wr tandem in the state.

he was a headcase and honestly was a steal for ucf Hes a higher caliber player. Not the best wr tandem in the state but You should be a golden night fan.

Kid was from Booker T, at one time was committed to Minnesota as well as Miami

This is why you can't keep an undefeated G5 team out of the CFB playoffs. I don't care what their strength of schedule is. If they are the lone undefeated team left...they need to be playing for the top prize.

You just don't know what happens when the whistle blows. This team with a coach in limbo just beat a team that beat two playoff teams soundly - while leading for essentially the whole game.

Auburn truly is a finesse team. We arent that physical either..but they arent blocking norton, Mcintosh and company all night.

But this is a canesinsight board..filled with bandwagoners..half of u f*cks are fiu fans anyway.

I would lay money on a regular season against ucf all day with the canes.

Ha, and you would lose your ***, Frost would coach circles around Richt. MR is old school and refuses to change, Frost is young, innovative, and plays to his strengths. If MR don't change his ways, which is why he was fired, he wont get us over that hump. His old team is in cfp, if he were still there they would not be. Hopefully he re-evaluates his game
you dumb ***.... since mike Bobo was named offensive coordinator for georgia in 2007 mark richt had not called plays for georgia. all you ***s are rediculous

even after the 2014 season when bobo left to coach colorado st guess what? CMR didnt call plays for georgia. its a wonder why georgia was so succesful earlier in richts tenure. oh and one last thing hows kirby fairing right now scumbag?

That was a long time ago man, have you seen the offenses that are dominating today? The games changed, and a lot of young guys originating from spread concepts are starting to take over. It' not so easy to just learn, and be great at a concept you never played or coached. Nothing against Richt, its just where the game has gone. Richt needs to hire a young, forward OC not named Jon Richt and have him eventually take over after he retires, because the OC would get another head coaching gig as soon as we had success.

Of course you can keep them out. We're doing it right now.

And every year people like you overreact to non-playoff bowl results. Put UCF in any P5 conference where they have to show up with that emotion every week and their second-tier talent will catch up to them.

Yep. They played one big game this year before Auburn, which was USF. And that was only “big” because of a rivalry aspect. They weren’t Miami playing VT and ND back to back or Auburn playing UGA and Alabama back to back.

Let's see, a team does undefeated and has a bowl win against the only team that beat two of the four arbitrary playoff teams. Why should UCF not be voted Number One in the polls?

Because they won one game against a non-playoff team, while someone is going to win two games against playoff teams. Not difficult.

None of this matters.

They play who is put in front of them.

Rewarding teams for hypotheticals about matchups is why you put these undefeated teams against the playoff teams. If they suck so much, let them see on the field. This is why we put in a non-conference championship game playing Alabama in the playoffs. They are good, will likely win the whole thing because they are put in a position to do so, but they didn't earn the opportunity to go to the playoffs on the field.

Its not about overrating the bowl win...it just continues to justify that they should've been given a chance. Non-conference championship playing team gets a chance...undefeated conference champion does not? UCF just beat Auburn, who beat Bama. Could they have done it over a full schedule of P5 teams? I don't know and neither do you. Results on the field are all I care about in this discussion.

Whoever that is will still have one loss, even easier. And let's remember the part about the team UCF beat already two of those playoff teams.
