Tyson Campbell talks 'Canes after receiving Opening invite

If Rumph were to ever win one Recruiting battle, it needs to be this one

Absolutely agree, epic failure if he misses this kid

Disagree AK. Sometimes, it's about more than the relationship. If he's not feeling it, he's not feeling it. I would be fine with that given the other savages we're bringing in who actually want to be here. I'm not suggesting that Tyson doesn't want to be here but if he decides to go elsewhere, he decides to go elsewhere. It would of course hurt to lose a highly rated guy from the backyard but you can't win them all no matter the relationship he has with Rumph.

Ty coming boys no inside info just a feeling with the way everything has been going he must be getting ready to jump on the train

Calling bs on him saying OSU is recruiting him the hardest. No quote... Looks like Bartow's work

I'll ask him but except for when he was first offered by them, he's barely mentioned them, at least around me. From what I gather, Clemson, LSU, and the Semenholes are our most stiff competition. Another thing to note. Even though he's supposed to go to Columbus in Spring, take comfort in knowing that Ty's parents are also gonna make him visit any up north school that he's interested in (****eyes, Michigan) during the winter. That way he doesn't get a false illusion of what it will be. He'll get to see the miserable conditions that he'd be living for most of the year. I think that's gonna cool down any interest in those schools, especially if we carry this recruiting momentum into the regular season...

Fsu don't seem in it, he told one of their reporters that they aren't recruiting him

I don't care what any reporter says, I know how he reacted when they offered. If they stopped recruiting him, I'd have to imagine it's because he told them he's not interested(I pray to everything Holy that he has). I don't know for sure since I do have my own thirtysomething year old life to live, but I can always call or text him and get as much info as he's gonna give anybody. Has he cooled on them recently, it's possible but I'd never say they're not in it unless he tells me so. I've said it on here before that when he brings up other schools sometimes I go deaf, so I'll have to ask him to see how much they're in it or not. But that kid has a helluva poker face and keeps his intentions very close to the vest. IMO, he's a Cane when the smoke clears. I'll find out for sure what's going on with FSU and him from the horse's mouth...

If he leaves, Rumph will be the LAST reason why. We are rectifying the reasons why he would. He's a Cane when the smoke clears IMO...

My gut says Cane and he's trying to down play everything. First off LSU will suck, bank on it. I suspect Clemson will take a step back as well. He completely downplayed his relationship w Rumph. Too much smoke around Miami and he's trying to fan the flames, most likely trying to get that 5th star (which he deserves). I believe this staff will reel him in. Richt is on a mission this cycle. I think Henderson, D Smith, and in particular Doughboy Fresh McFartland lit a fire into this staff.
When did he downplay his relationship with rumph

Everyone else from AH have said Rumph is like a father figure...Campbell said "Miami is always a good option...I have a great relationship w Rumph." A recruit says that about every coach that's recruiting them. It was a blanket statement. That's all I'm saying. Everyone knows Rumph is hella close w Campbell. I feel he's just trying to stay coy to die down speculations.

He said he was like a 2nd father figure in Petes interview from the opening a few days ago
