lol. I'd love to see proof of either school getting SEVEN DBs of this quality in one year.

Ivey and Russell are both gonna be top 200 kids to go with top 100 Jobe, Campbell, Blades, Hall, and Frierson.

Ohio State 2017 Football Commits

They took 2 5* and 4 4*s DBs. They had small class last year.

Good try. But still not up to the 2 5 star and 5 4 stars of the aforementioned class.

okudah and wade were consensus 5*, no one in our db class is even close, highest is ty who is borderline

Jobe and Campbell are, troll. lmao. Blades not far behind. Hall gonna blow up too. All 4 are or will be top 100 kids.

i tried hard to avoid this but u asked a question and he showed u proof even if its one short.......osu n bama do this yearly its y they r elite. jesus christ just give other squad credit they sign talent too.

whats the problem with accepting u were wrong.....**** i know ive been wrong but to ask for proof and he shows u n u still wylin is like a miami jihadist n ****

If he keeps growing, he'll be an elite safety with an incredible skill set.

Yes.

Ryan Mayes, Mike Jackson, Robert Knowles and Terrence Henley are not even serviceable ACC caliber defensive backs.

They will be gone soon leaving only J. Johnson (assuming he doesnt leave), M. Young, S. Redwine, T. Bandy, J. Dean, A. Carter, D. Smith, J. James and R. Finley in 2018.

We need 8 DB's in this class.

My picks...

CB Josh Jobe (Starts day one on campus)
CB Tyson Campbell (Guaranteed two deep in 2018)
CB DJ Ivey
CB Al Blades, Jr.

S Randy Russell
S Jamien Sherwood
S Gurvan Hall
S Gilbert Frierson

2018 Depth Chart....

CB Malek Young/Josh Jobe/Sheldrick Redwine
S Amari Carter/Gurvan Hall
S Jaquan Johnson/Romeo Finley
CB Jahvonte Dean/Trajan Bandy/Tyson Campbell

If Campbell, Pope and Blades committed, it would help greatly with OL and DL targets.

PLANTATION, Fla. - Four-star cornerback Tyson Campbell, the nation’s No. 9 cornerback, said Ohio State is recruiting him the hardest followed by Miami and Georgia. He will visit Ohio State April 14-15.

"I like all of their coaches," Campbell said. "We talk almost daily. I can't wait for that visit."

He said he will visit Georgia and LSU this spring, too.

The Tigers were one of his first offers.

"I have a good relationship with (Tigers secondary coach Corey Raymond)," Campbell said. "Them being known as DBU. We talk a lot. Patrick Peterson my favorite cornerback went there. I would like to visit there again."

Campbell listed high interest in Ohio State, LSU, Clemson (who offered first), Georgia and Miami among his 21 verbal offers.

He said following his spring visits he plans to unveil a lead group. Campbell said he will make a late decision this winter following five official visits.

Campbell visited Clemson in late January for a Junior Day.

"The new facility," Campbell said. "It was real cool. It was a real quiet town. Everybody was real cool. I had a great conversation with (Tigers linebackers coach Brent Venables) and a little conversation with (Dabo Swinney). I enjoyed it."

Staying home and playing for the Hurricanes is something he's also considering.

"That's always a good option," Campbell said. "I got family in Miami so they could see my home games all the time. I have a great relationship with (Hurricanes cornerbacks coach Mike Rumph) and coach (Mark Richt). Saturday I went to the Duke/Miami basketball game. I had a great conversation with coach Rumph and after the game with coach Richt. Every time I go there I enjoy myself."

The Crystal Ball reads 50-percent for Miami, 25-percent for LSU and 25-percent for Clemson.

In all honesty that sounds good for miami

I'll ask him but except for when he was first offered by them, he's barely mentioned them, at least around me. From what I gather, Clemson, LSU, and the Semenholes are our most stiff competition. Another thing to note. Even though he's supposed to go to Columbus in Spring, take comfort in knowing that Ty's parents are also gonna make him visit any up north school that he's interested in (****eyes, Michigan) during the winter. That way he doesn't get a false illusion of what it will be. He'll get to see the miserable conditions that he'd be living for most of the year. I think that's gonna cool down any interest in those schools, especially if we carry this recruiting momentum into the regular season...

Fsu don't seem in it, he told one of their reporters that they aren't recruiting him

My gut says Cane and he's trying to down play everything. First off LSU will suck, bank on it. I suspect Clemson will take a step back as well. He completely downplayed his relationship w Rumph. Too much smoke around Miami and he's trying to fan the flames, most likely trying to get that 5th star (which he deserves). I believe this staff will reel him in. Richt is on a mission this cycle. I think Henderson, D Smith, and in particular Doughboy Fresh McFartland lit a fire into this staff.
