Tyrique Stevenson listed as first rounder on early mock NFL draft

Not easy finding a player with his size/speed/experience

NFL game definitely moving towards defenders like him being very valuable

Hope he balls out

Players are drafted on upside and what they will become. The player they are today is only part of the equation

Sure players are drafted on potential, but a huge part of the equation is their production and what they’ve put on film. There’s a **** ton of bad tape on TS. This past year alone. He’s not 1st rounder and I’d be ****ed if my team selected him that high.

Hope he does...for recruiting sake. Can't keep pointing to Artie Burns as proof of development, lol.

“Daniel Jeremiah is bat **** crazy lol”

- Friend and former colleague of mine who covers the SE for the Vikings.

Crazier things have happened, but I agree with most, 2nd round is best case scenario for him and thats if he absolutely blows his Indy performance out of the water. 2nd round is still **** good, **** 3rd is. I think he will be a player on the next level but 1st round is a stretch IMO. Idk how stacked the CB class is this year though, that could help him I guess (or hurt him).

To be fair there isn't a massive difference between the back end of the 1st round and the 2nd.

Im shocked by that, but as a vikings fan I certainly wouldn't complain about having a Cane to root for, no idea if they're gonna re-sign Osborn after next year
Guaranteed they will (resign KJ) Thielen is one of the most likely to get cut due to his contract. He is due to make like $19 mil next year and only like half is guaranteed. If they cut Thielen they will have to hold onto KJ. KJ will get low #2 receiver money. He was super consistent this year as you would expect but he blew up that one game because he was actually targeted more than normal for once. Theilen’s best days are behind him.

I wouldn’t mind getting Stevenson at all although I would rather get him in the 2nd or 3rd round. I think he was good here - but the lack of good LB play and no real great pass rush put a lot off pressure on the whole secondary.

True, I couldn't remember the cap situation to save my life lol. Hate to see theilen go, but you are absolutely right in that regard.

I hope he does but I doubt he goes 1st round. Think Walter football currently has him 3rd-5th round range

If he runs in the high 4.4s and is viewed as a convert to safety, I can see him as a late second round pick or early 3rd.

If he tests freakishly, high 4.3s and is viewed as a permanent corner. I can see early 2nd.

I dont think he gets into round 1. Especially once the tape shows how many easy picks he dropped. He does have short area juice which is a good trait.
I'd want to see his ID at the end of the running track in Indy if he runs a 4.4 or below at the Combine.

He never looked anywhere near that fast for us.
