Bradenton (FL) IMG Academy OL and Cane commitment Tyree St. Louis visited Syracuse earlier this month.

"That was a very good visit, was a lot of fun," St. Louis said. "I'm still with Miami, but Syracuse is in contention."

He expects to visit UM the weekend of Jan. 16 and will also visit Tennessee next month.

St. Louis also says he considers himself "very solid" to UM.

A 6-5 1/2, 306-pounder, St. Louis says his primary Cane recruiter is line coach Art Kehoe.

"I love coach Kehoe, he's a great guy, great coach," St. Louis said.

St. Louis is one of three IMG Academy players committed to UM (along with Scott Patchan and Ryan Fines), and St. Louis says "we always talk about coming in and being the ones that help change the program."

He adds "This class overall, it's a very good class, very well skilled. This class we have not just skill players but also talented and intelligent players."

* Of what he improved most this past season, St. Louis said, "I feel like I improved
in every phase of the game - run pass, physically, mentality."

Does he expect to play right away at Miami?

"I don't know yet," he said. "It all depends on the left tackle (Ereck Flowers) and whether he stays or leaves. If he stays I'll try to fight for playing time as the backup behind a senior veteran."

This kid is a stud and a steal for us. i see 1st round potential n this kid already. my favorite OL out of all them. he has no weakness just very skilled. once he gets in that college weightroom (IMG is pretty much a college though) he should have no set back. in 2 years our OLine is going to be amazing. the one thing Golden has done right.

My favorite OL in the class. Wish he was an inch taller but he has long arms. Excellent feet.

100% legit - no doubt about it. I'd pay to see film of him and Scott Patchan going against eachother in practice.

Staff needs to stop playing games an get 3 IMG kids to sway their teammate 2015 LB Nick Thomas to flip to Miami already. The kid is a tackling machine. St.Louis and crew should be in his ear everyday. Thomas will be a helluva Middle LB in college.

An I agree St. louis is a steal for um.

Go Canes

Still taking visits means he's still open. If he was all amped up about crappy *** Syracuse, then he's going to flip his lid over a Tennessee visit.

Then there is his trip to Miami.

Lol I'm from Knoxville and one of my best friends is the center for UT, and I'm pretty sure he mentioned being the host for St. Louis when he comes on his visit, it was something Jones mentioned to him. I'll get some first hand info on how his visit goes.

Knoxville is a great city for college athletes, not too big not too small, just enough night life and bars. This visit is enough to be worried about, their OL sucks and he could play right away, Jones just recruits, he's one of the best in the business and nobody knows how he does it. It just all depends imo if he wants to live this far away. The campus isn't really as nice as Miami but the facilities are second to none, idk i think it will be a tough call

AND this is why i dont want him to visit there. Jones is freaking unbelievable.

He is going to get some Tenn big girl country luvin. There is Nothing, I repeat Nothing Tenn can offer that will be better than UM and definitely not the quality of education, let alone an opportunity for NFL. An comparing Oline Coaching of Dan Mahoney vs Art Kehoe is almost insulting. The issue in the end is direction of the program under Al Golden vs Tenn under Butch Jones, an AG won't be at Miami past next year if he doesn't win big next year, either way UM will be on the rise over the next few years whether it is with Butch Davis or Mario Cristobal as head coach if AG is fired. In which case either coach at Miami would put the fear of UM back into college football in a hurry.

OL Tyree St. Louis will replace Keenan Walker at the #UAALLAMERICA game. He's in Orlando practicing today.

He might have just arrived but #Miami OL commit Tyree St. Louis has fit right in. Just dominated on back-to-back reps. #UAAllAmerica

Tennessee under Butch Jones: Year 1 5-7 and Year 2 6-6. UT has no QB, WR and RB positions are very weak IMO, saw them live at the Missouri game. As rough as things are at UM, it's still a better place for Tyree St. Louis. The facilities in Knoxville are first rate, but eastern Tennessee is not a destination point for anyone. My daughter is in her 2nd year of VET. School at UT and loves the school, but really does not like Knoxville.

Your logic might check out, but this is recruiting. No logic applies.

And by the way, the kid is committed to Mr. 6-7 in Year 4 Alfredo Golden...so it's not like Tennessee's record is going to scare him away.
