Tyler Steen LT to Portal

Not too bad feet. Needs some more pop n finish. Maybe Mirabal can coach that.

Like others said RT.

He needs to drop his hips and anchor better. Kick step isnt bad.

He would be a take for me. I dont think we have proven depth at Tackle at all. I like Campbell alot but he is coming off injury and i liked him alot INSIDE.

I dont see an Upgrade to Jarrid Williams ....more on the same line as him which wasnt bad. Now can Mirabal coach up more aggressiveness and finishing ability he has potential to be better. Alot of loafs i seen in the UF game...mixed in with some good stuff

Our OL coach used to preach ‘block to the whistle’ in practice...and he would delay blowing it on purpose. It turned a few guys into stone cold maulers and it also improved their conditioning. Sometimes it’s the little things that make a huge difference.

Starting LT for Vandy. 6'5, 315. Three-year starter. Started off on DL before switching sides. Originally from Miami, went to Doral Academy and then St. Thomas Aquinas. Father was a Marine and his grandfather won a posthumous Medal of Honor for his service in Vietnam.

He is #54 in the clips below:

Also, his grandfather is namesake of USS Rodney Davis a guided missile frigate (decomissioned in Jan 15).

Huge shoes to fill in life.

Wow. Small world.... Rodney Davis is from my hometown, Macon, GA. We all know (or should know) his story. Threw himself on a grenade to save fellow soldiers. Our only medal of honor recipient.

@gogeta4 do you think he can be a guard? His wide body type and athleticism seem to be a fit there. Getting some push against Texas A&M in this clip:

It depends on what scheme..but i would say no ..for me. He has trouble anchoring with Ends...his strength isnt really there like that. In a zone scheme he would have a chance but he does hae a little trouble getting to the next level and sticking.

I would honestly stick him at RT and see if he can do that full time...unless you were to move Zion over there an keep him at LT.

Please God.

All these kids going home has to work in our favor at some point this cycle, lol.
This is becoming a re-occurring theme with the portal. We are going to be in good shape with established players wanting to come back home to South FLA!!!

He played Guard at Vandy before moving to Tackle.

I agree.

Not seeing the feet for LT, but not seeing the drive to be a G. He's a RT, or he's not a fit.

Wondering what Mario and Mirabal are thinking here.
