I agree he should definitely come back, but I don't think that's the problem here. Try to put yourself in his shoes for a second. The NFL is obviously the ultimate destination and the dream for these kids. It's extremely hard to convince any kid to come back to college *when you're already getting first round grades

That doesn’t make sense. If it was about negotiating, then best option would be to enter portal asap to get a bidding war going. Simpson in the portal would be the clear #1 option. Now it’s basically down to Miami and Tennessee if he enters.

Yeah but the NFL Draft is part of the equation. 4 year guarantee with up front signing bonus for first rounders. Plus it creates desperation; there are already reports multiple teams have made offers.

If it's truly what they're up to, it's pretty smart, especially after seeing our results with Ward and Beck.

May be way off, but Simpson strikes me as an SEC guy who cringes at the thought of playing for Miami. Yes, money talks. But I would’ve had a real hard time playing for UF when I was in school. Rational or not, I probably would’ve entered the draft rather than play for a team I hated growing up.

Regarding Ty Simpson remember he is a Saban recruit and he/his family may have spoken to Saban about next moves. I wouldn't be surprised if Saban has recommended Miami to the family.
