That doesn’t make sense. If it was about negotiating, then best option would be to enter portal asap to get a bidding war going. Simpson in the portal would be the clear #1 option. Now it’s basically down to Miami and Tennessee if he enters.

I agree he should definitely come back, but I don't think that's the problem here. Try to put yourself in his shoes for a second. The NFL is obviously the ultimate destination and the dream for these kids. It's extremely hard to convince any kid to come back to college when you're already getting first round grades

Williams signed NIL agreement to play for Washington. The thought is maybe Raiola or another QB hasn't technically signed yet.

Some guys have committed to come back but they haven't signed. See the Hollywood Smothers situation. He committed to Bama and I heard he enrolled but never signed an NIL or rev share deal. So, he flipped to Texas and nothing can be done.
