Two Former NFL Head Corches With No Pride

Trash coaches will look good at bama. Dark was trash at USC (although it could be the school like UM)

Dudes go there and benefit from Sabans roster. It's like a rehab for fired head coaches. Sometimes though I do realize now that it's the schools the way they are structured on high. That is why u see a USC a Texas a Miami down. U got to get your hands dirty if u want to win and the people up top have to want it...everyone got to be on board that winning goes above all.

If the university doesn't have that u aren't going to win.

They wouldn’t be doing it if they weren’t getting a return on the investment. Don’t understand why our administration wouldn’t just put more resources into our program! We don’t have to spend at the same level but we have to have more than a pop Warner coaching staff.

In case your advanced age is affecting your comprehension and short term memory, the topic of the thread is the hiring of multiple ex head coaches as analysts.

Maybe next time, understand the topic being discussed instead of constantly jumping in with your pre-determined negativity.

You are a one-trick pony.

Advanced age? LOL I'm in my late thirties, bud. I guess that's old for some people.

Way to do somersaults, by the way. Can never admit you're wrong, you've always got to dig in and die on every single hill. But you lost this argument because you didn't read. You were too trigger happy this time.

Now scram.

Wow. You post like a crotchety bitter old man.

I’m not doing any somersaults, don’t need to point out your consistent fallacies. I understood your post. But apparently you didn’t understand the thread topic.

Keep on digging in. I'll hand you a shovel for the entertainment value alone.

If I were Saban I would just retire. How can you not get tired of having to rebuild the program every single season? It has to be an addiction. You can't even just focus on coaching or recruiting, you constantly need to be tapping up coaches you may want to hire, all the while all of your ex-employees are all out at other programs like henchmen trying to beat their ex master, year after year. I'm exhausted just hearing about it in the news every year.
that’s why you are not saban

Definitely no pride lol. O’Brien was just okay as a play caller in college and at New England, and probably should
Never have been a general manager, but was a pretty good head man. I’m sure he could get a head job elsewhere. Would be a little odd.

Bill O'Brien was a really good play-caller at Penn State. That guy was the ONLY one to make Hackenberg look good.

I would be surprised if Gase goes to College Football. He hasnt been on a college football program in 18 years.

O´Brien would be something to monitor. However, Belichick might come calling. McDaniels has a shot at HC jobs (again) and Belichick likes both O´Brien (a really good OC, but **** HC and GM) and Gase.

Bill O'Brien is another example of Baga playing chess and Miami still trying to put a square peg in a round hole. I'm a Cane, but I accept the fact that The U Admin, BOT and AD do not know or care to make Miami a top 5 competitor

That's true of most schools with far greater resources than we have at our disposal.

Listen, what we did in our rise to power isn't supposed to happen. No more so then then now.

Could it happen, sure. Is it likely to happen, no.

Aside from us wanting it to happen, a return to the top, I'm not sure why our fans act like it's easy to do or should even be done.

Say what you want about Saban, but he loves what he does. That's why he still does it. What his top loves are about all of it, I don't know, but there's one thing he absolutely hates and that's losing. He's clearly a perfectionist, seemingly never completely satisfied, so that helps keep the drive alive. Great coach, maybe the GOAT.

Because he is a driven alpha in his professional field (NCAA level, not NFL).

One day he will turn the lamp light off, but it would appear the event to trigger it hasn't occurred and/or been realized.

I don't understand why the people without pride are the ones who are willing to work for saban. I'd see it the other way. Those are people with sufficient humility to want to gain insight into him and his organization. If you could work with warren buffet for a year, wouldn't you, if you're in the investment business?

If you think that's a pride issue, you lack humility. Excessive pride is a deadly sin, not something to be patting yourself on the back for.

Miami's problem is even worse than you describe. Miami can't even figure out how to put a round peg in a round hole!

Why is it a bad thing for Saban to talk to talented people and pick their brains?
Big difference between talking to them and hiring them. They are two of the biggest underachieving coaches the last few seasons in the NFL.
