Definitely no pride lol. O’Brien was just okay as a play caller in college and at New England, and probably should
Never have been a general manager, but was a pretty good head man. I’m sure he could get a head job elsewhere. Would be a little odd.

He's good as a OC/QBC, no? As for comportment, all they need him to do is coach. They've got recruiters already.

I think Dolphin and Jets fans would disagree about his merit as a coach. As for his demeanor, there are lots and lots of stories from both regimes about how players were just totally turned off by him. He's supposedly arrogant and aloof and doesn't interact well with players. Maybe he'd play off a little better in college because the kids have less power, but it doesn't sound like he'd inspire anyone.

It's the only thing that makes sense IF this is true. Sabag doesn't exactly rehabilitate NFL careers as he was an NFL corch himself. So Gase must want to go to the college level (although if Chan Gailey can keep getting OC jobs in the NFL I bet Gase would've eventually been offered one). Bill O'Brien is absolutely a corch too but he probably could get his name in the mix for most college opening already just based on the perceived job he did at Pedo State.

Miami never operated this way, even when we were winning, and can never operate this way, unless we can transplant the Bama boosters and revenue streams which makes all this possible.

There are other things we can and should do that we’re not doing, this is not one of them.
