TVD vs TAMU, VT, & Duke 2022

There was guys running routes 11-12 instead of 10 and when they were short hopped everyone jumped Tvd. He didn’t play well at times but everything was not on him, which I get. He’s the qb . They get all the credit and all the blame.
Im sure he is not the first qb that happened to. He was being hyped up as first round heisman type qb going into season. Those guys leelvate everyone around them and make them better, fix the mistakes and make plays when it doesnt look like it should happen.. Hopefully that comes to fruition this season

We did enough in the passing game to beat the most talented defense on our 2022 schedule. Hope we can clean up the "beating ourselves" aspect of the offense more than anything.

They were out their top 5 DBs for the game. Yes we should have won. Almost winning against a team without their top 5 DBs doesn't allow for moral victories.

It's like when we beat OU by 1 point the week after they lost Sam Bradford. Or when we had a narrow (but solid) victory against OSU when their whole team (and coaches) were suspended. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Do we have the talent to win? Yes. But let's not act like they haven't dominated us in recruiting since Jimbo was there. In the last 20 years everytime we faced a team like that we've been severely exposed. Only when they have major injuries/suspensions have we been able to get moral victories. Except ND, we trashed them.

Knighton left 4 tds on the field.

I was there live.

Knighton has worse vision than Stevie Wonder
No way dude. I think I remember 1 but don’t remember 3 more. There were some big time drops by multiple guys…none more devastating than us driving and Parrish dropping the ball to extend our drive in A&M territory.

Help me with the 3 others, as I genuinely tried to erase that game out of my memory. Idk that there’s been a game in recent years that a team tried to give us multiple times that we essentially said “no thanks I’m good”

Rewatch

4 times. Knighton is trash for vision.

Ugh. I forgot about the Tyrique botch. I think Im going to throw up my bacon egg and cheese sandwich. So many self inflicted mistakes.

Somewhat related... I saw this stat yesterday and couldn't believe it:

"As a program, going back to the middle of 2017, Miami is 1-17 when it turns it over two or more times."

Obviously you want to limit turnovers, but I have to imagine that not many other P5 programs can match that stat.

No disrespect to individuals on the team or the coaches, but I havent seen a lot of fight in them during adversity. When they get punched in the face, they need to learn to weather the storm, trust each other and learn to fight back. There have been too many games in recent years where something happened in the 1st quarter and we all just knew we werent going to recover from that. Q1 against FSU last year..that pass interference on the 1st drive...absolute killer.
