Hey mouthbreathers: Every single one of the players on our current roster are Al Golden-recruited players.

We're 6-5. 6th place in one of the worst divisions in football. This is his 4th season at the helm.

This is all on Golden and he needs to be fired.

The best player Saturday was actually a Shannon player--Walford.

I think the only ones we have left from the Shannon era are Warlord, McDermott, and Feliciano (all starters).

Other than that, these are Al's guys.

The difference is simple. Randy was a frigging train wreck in middle of city during rush hour with horns blowing. Everyone could see it, unless they were blind. Golden is a frigging train wreck, but a little more orderly. It appears to be on the track sometimes and the conductor telling everyone in a clam voice that everything is going to be fine. The wreck occurs in a slightly more rural setting where stupid people and blind people don't see it. That is my take. Anyone who things Randy should have gotten another year is blind. Anyone who things Al should not be fired for whatever reason, is just stupid.

Save the race talk for comparing any second chance the two men get. If this pathetic the excuse for a coach we have now another HC and Randy continues to be rejected, then maybe you can go on the boards of the team that hires him and call them racist. I'm actually surprised LRG hasn't had that "I better pipe down for a while, I've been wrong about literally everything" moment yet.

In his pathetic attempt to continue defending his hero and attempting to buy him time, he forgets that Shannon took over:

- For a team that just had a player murdered in an execution style
- A program that was being destroyed in the media for their on-the-field brawl -- "THUG U" was being tossed around again
- An offense that finished 87th in the country
- An offense with so little skill position depth that Punter Brian Monroe played first team WR in the Spring Game

The only REDEEMING thing about that team was that it finished 7th in the country in total defense the year before -- the unit he was responsible for.

What does Shannon's performance have to do with Golden? This is Golden's roster filled with players he and his staff have tried to develop since they arrived. Shannon can't be blamed whatsoever for the embarrassing product we've seen this season. It's Year 4 and we're going to finish in the bottom half of the pathetic ACC Coastal. That is 100% on Al Golden, period.

Saying the administration will give Golden leeway because his predecessor was also incompetent doesn't make any sense. Their results are essentially identical. There are no excuses. Golden needs to be fired.

How good, or bad, the previous coach was has a DIRECT correlation to the next coach's performance. IE, coker started off well because butch left him a squad, randy was given four years even though he was on the staff due to coker's incompetence, and i'm sure the admin is taking that AND the shapiro stuff into account when determining his fate. I'm not saying and haven't said, that randy shannon is to blame for losing to UVA ...that's a game we SHOULDN'T be losing at this point in the rebuild process.

There is nothing funnier than you, one of the most clueless, uneducated people around, constantly citing your ability to use "logic."

4 years in.. An entire roster of his guys. 10 of them with NFL draft grades. And somehow you're trying to use Shannon as an excuse to give him more time. We're all praying for you.

if you were smarter you'd realize i'm not saying that at all, but you're not, so there's no point. Oh, and we need to decide, because one person as an indictment of AL says how the best performers are Randy guys, and other unintelligent people say the roster is all Al guys, as an indictment of all. Lol to all of us who thinks this administration gives two craps about this football program. It's been painfully obvious for quite some time they are more than happy to sell the U brand and cash paychecks from the football team, all the while letting us flounder into obscurity.

If we had someone with a half decent intelligence and who was half interested, we could be back to at least a 10+win a year team and winning the Coastal most years.

Bridgewater decommitted before Randy was canned. Randy was a horrendous coach and recruit. Same as Golden. Golden being bad isn't an excuse to revise how horrid Randy was.

**There was no need to compare team defense overall b/c Shannon's team defense blows Golden's team defense out of the water.

Once again, I beg to ask, HOW IN THE **** IS THE PROGRAM IN BETTER SHAPE NOW THAT GOLDEN'S IS HERE IN YEAR 4? It's the same bull. These numbers are indication that they are both corches...these numbers are an indication that Golden NEEDS to be canned just like Randy. Actually, some of Randy's accomplishments here were actually better than Golden's, so if he didn't get a pass, Golden definitely shouldn't receive a pass at all.
