Truth from another source

the offense doesn't look worse it looks exactly the same, mediocre. It looks worse to you apparently but the reality is, its no worse than last years or the year before.

Say What? Wtf are YOU watching!? We didn't score one TD vs A&M and followed that up with not scoring a TD vs MTSU until there was one minute and 20 seconds left in the 2nd quarter. Maaaan that is one TD in 6 straight quarters of football. **** near 0, and one of the teams was MTSU. I dont think that happened the last two years you are referencing.

Maybe we need a former Marine for our next coach.

I HEAR - that Marines are so used to doing without for so long - they can do anything with nothing.

That's sounding good right now . . .

I think the whole benching thing is just the media Monday morning QB'ing to create controversy to increase clicks.

If you watch Coach Hayes's The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, he said that it was obvious to him that TVD was drowning and needed to be saved. He felt they waited to long to take him out.

Coach Hayes said he would have taken TVD out for 1 series in the 2nd quarter and had him watch Jake while discussing the plays and progressions. He tells TVD what Jake is doing right and wrong where TVD can see it live. He tells TVD, I'm going to call the same plays when you go back in and now you know exactly what to do. If TVD continues to struggle after that, then you sit him for the rest of the game.

It puts TVD in a positive mind set and gives him confidence rather than letting him spiral further down the rabbit hole. I think his commentary on handling a struggling QB is brilliant!!!
That's like pulling your starting pitcher. Letting him watch and putting him back in (I know not allowed). Calling the same plays. Really. Thinking he will see the exact same defense. Stupid post

Just a stupid analogy. Baseball pitchers wouldn't return even if the rules allowed because it would be detrimental to their arms.

But OK, I'll stick with your baseball analogy. TVD had 8 walks, gave up 2 grand slams, and a dozen hits in 4 innings, but you think he should have finished the game. No!!! You pull the pitcher in the 2nd inning and save him from himself while still giving your team a chance to win. He was pulled too late even if you don't put h back in the game.

Lastly, what I posted was directly quoted from coach Hayes. What does he know? He only coached for Mario.

The first guy with the "Mario the quarterback killer" stuff is a half-baked take. Anyone want to admit that TVD might've been way too overhyped after nine games last year?

Completely set the kid up to fail with all the preseason accolades.

Forget the new system, the kid's mechanics are flawed, he doesn't go through his reads, he looks down receivers and he's been inaccurate-as-****—naked out there without Rambo and Harley bailing him out.

Now also all this talk about him not being a rah-rah guy, not being in contact with his receivers, being somewhat introverted, etc.

He's not really proving to be "that dude" more than Mario and a new OC are "crippling" him.
Your takes might be accurate, who knows right now. But this team looks less disciplined and less motivated than under Diaz, those are 2 things that Mario preaches to no end. If you are going to call out players for being cancers, overhyped, etc. call the coaches out as well, when they aren't producing. Mario has time to correct these things and the supposed "culture" but let's admit Mario's performance on the field has been an F so far.
