I'm not comparing them to each other. I'm comparing how our fan base goes in full allegiance syndrome.

Our former HC couldn't hold Mark's jock. That doesn't mean we can't talk and analyse why he couldn't win the big game and any NC's.

He was fired because Georgia fans think they are one coach away from being Alabama and didn't realize how good they had it with a guy who averaged 10 wins per year.

To put it in perspective, Phil Fulmer was terminated for "non-performance" in 2008 after nine 10+ win seasons. Since Fulmer, they are 43-44. There's not a bunch of coaches out there just waiting to come and win 13 games per year at your program.

But as you well know, there are a ton of part time corches on this board with NFL scout neighbors who wont be happy unless Richt picks their "guy".

Richt has the resume, so I'll let him do his thing.

Some of these same part time coaches, I was one, nailed the inadequacies of our former HC within the 1st few games. This isn't rocket science if you know how to analyze the data that is out there.

I think for a lot of us we're just tired of being hypercritical of every move our HC makes.

With Richt's record I'm going to give him leeway on hiring and recruiting whoever he wants until he gives me a reason to doubt him.

- Familiar with South Florida recruiting
- Hurricane ties
- Offensive minded
- National Championship
- Butch coaching tree

His name is Larry Coker.

I think it's stupid to just blindly follow along and just say "trust Richt". Specially given what this program has been through the last 10 years.
I also think it's stupid to complain until there is something to complain about.
I'll reserve judgment until something is official.
