True Freshmen who did not play against FAMU

I believe Cedric Wright and Jeff James played last night. Personally I wanted Jeff James to red-shirt, but it's understandable to why he played given lack of depth in the secondary. Also, Bruce red-shirting is likely not going to happen. And besides, with a talent like him, you really think he's going to be staying in school as a red-shirt senior?

They can still redshirt James, I hope they do to and redshirt him

No they can't.

Yes they can and most likely will.

Then it wouldn't be a regular redshirt

depends on who your talking about, but Irving is definitely an xtra large.

James is tailor made for STs. He's fast and violent. Get some use out of him before he gets kicked out.

Need to use Irving on STs too. Keep the guys who play more fresh. Kellen Winslow made his bones playing STs early here.

what do you mean ?

James has too much thug in him. It's only a matter of time.

That's what we need, just bring him in a few plays a game to take out people . Head shot late hit to Devin will work for me

Irving should be a personal protector on punt returns now that Earl Moore has moved on.

What a great idea it was to have Moore, Knighton, St. Louis chasing punt returners.

Probably the only two that won't play this season are Tre Johnson and Tyreic Martin.

It's IRVIN.........see below

Martin and Allison are the only ones redshirting at this point. Richt said so himself.

Bruce should redshirt because he's suspended for a few games?

Do many kids redshirt anymore? Seems like QB and lineman are about all you see d it. Even then, the top linemen seem to play as true freshmen anyway. Kids are looking ti get into NFL and with the CBA price fixing on the draft picks staying in to move up in the draft has diminished in value, especially for skill positions. Kids want to get the first contract out of the way because the real cash is in the second one. If kid is good, they are gone in three, redshirt or not. They can play 4 without a shirt so we are talking about a 5th year -- how many of those do your see.

The NCAA doesn't really enforce it. Basically you can play in the first 2-3 games and then redshirt. The rule is no snaps but it's not enforced.
