See I don't get this though. Don't be surprised if it happens, but how can anyone want that? The game has turned into recruiting then coaching. But look how the room has stepped up under him. He's actively developing whatever we put in front of him. Why wouldn't we want just that? We got a stop running off every actual coach we have who is capable and delivers in development just because in a limited sample size he hasn't delivered the recruiting hits that we want on the very top end. Cause it's not like we're getting jags either. I'll take someone who can get the most out of his room before I'll take another trob who can bring in the big names but can't develope them. Cause they'll just hit the portal after a year or two anyhow.

in fairness to beard he develops. I mean yeah we say he cant recruit but I saw rumph turning guys into NFL players and a revolviing door at db coach since he left the position.

TRob gets guys though and has a list of who he has developed. Give me the guys that bring in the best that when we watch on Sundays they say “the u” and are household names that kids look up to. Colbie Young was coached by Beard and still can’t catch. Just bring me the top talent, what we used to see in the ancient times.

He doesn't develop ****. There's a reason he only stays at the places where the money is flowing. I get it we only have a 1-year sample with him but how did that work out? He didn't leave on his own by the way. He was told he was being replaced and went running to Alabama where he was also told he was being replaced and went running to Georgia where he will also be told he's being replaced and go running somewhere else. It's a pattern he's shown over and over and over again. Sometimes when there's smoke there's fire. I'll take somebody that can develop the people we do get no matter what level recruits they are over somebody that can throw money at a kid and get them to come here in the temporary and not develop.

I agree but I'm in the vast minority. It's like people want to project other team deficiencies onto Beard. Our WR room was good enough to win the whole **** thing and none of them were NFL types. Didn't even get drafted. And that's a fireable offense?

Bruh I agree it’s fair the TRob thing. But you can’t tell me the dogs you played with, if they were born today they would take the money. You have to get the top talent. You know this. If not you won’t win a natty period. Everyone knows this. Until that starts happening it’s mediocre or winning the acct or appearing in the acc title game. Or coming up short, that will be the pattern. And that’s not good enough for Miami, it just isn’t. I would replace him imo but that’s just me regardless of what anyone says. I won’t change that stance, I want an elite recruiter there that can bring the top talent and keep them here.

Because Cam was a once in a lifetime QB. He carries a roster and that’s rare asf for a qb. He wasn’t going to win it by himself.

First one is top 3 receivers in 2023. Second is top 3 in 2024. I agree that the recruiting of top tier guys needs to improve but the receivers have indisputably been productive and it wasn’t just Cam’s doing.
