Trap Game=@Virginia

Perkins is a very good running QB, which makes his passing game more effective, he's a 63.5% passer with 11TD's & only 4INT's on the season.

Their 3 best weapons are RB Jordan Ellis & WR's Olamide Zaccheaus & Harsise Dubois. Olamide is 3rd in the ACC in receiving yards & Jordan Ellis is 5th in rushing yards. However, as a team Miami is ranked higher than them in all offensive categories in the ACC.

NC State was able to figure them out, they shut down UVA's run game & forced 2 INT's. They also exploited UVA's weak secondary, Ryan Finley was 22/32 for 257yds & 3TD's. They also rushed for 176yds.

Our advantage should be in the passing game, they're ranked 40th in pass defense & vs Indiana they gave up 237yds rushing. Deejay & Homer should gash them for some big runs, and I expect JT4 & Harley to make some big plays down the field.

They have some good Senior Safety's in Joey Blount & Juan Thornhill, but their Corners Tim Harris & Darrius Bratton aren't good. They should be susceptible to the Deep ball on the outside & this could be a game Brevin gets off because their LB's don't matchup well in the middle of the field.

They also don't generate much pass rush, they're 12th in the ACC in sacks with only 9 total on the season.

I don't think it's a trap game, but it definitely a game where we need to execute early & get a lead, if we allow them to hang around it could give us problems. I got us winning 34-20.
Solid report.

After our emotional in last year we stunk up the first half vs GT and needed a prayer to come back (Langham 4th and Long bobble catch). This QB is legit but I feel good about our D. I think our challenge is our O line and being consistent on O

All offseason, everyone had circled BC to be a trap game. Players already expect it. In my opinion, Virginia is a much bigger trap game. They will give us fits. In fact, we are favored only -6.5. This will be a stressful night to say the least.

Exactly the Trap game is one, no one is expecting. Everyone at the beginning of season had BC making some noise this season. Nobody had UVA being even average this season after losing their Qb and some of the best defensive players on the roster.

Problem is we give teams little emotional victories that add up.
You go on the road and start at the 25 and go 3 run plays for 4 yards. The crowd gets into it. Then you shank the ball and they start at our 48 yard line. You put pressure on the defense and the offense knows it only has to move 25 yards and they get at least 3. Even if the team sucks it gives them a lot of confidence and momentum.
I know cmr wants the team to have 75 yard 5 minute drive and impose our will. But we couldn’t do that for almost a quarter against savanna state.
I don’t mind wanting that pro style no finesse oline.
But we don’t have those dudes yet.
Cmr wants to control the clock especially with the teams that go tempo. He wants to limit the offensive snaps. Even the FSU fans were complaining about the lack of offensive plays FSU had.
Last year we were a high scoring offense but our top was horrible and our defense was gassed at the end of the season. We fix our o line and special teams and we got a really dangerous squad.

I am confident that the defense can handle anything left on the schedule(barring anymore injuries) until the ACC championship game. The teams that will give us trouble are the teams with solid d lines, and Virginia is not all that great in that department. Matter of fact we just beat the team with the best one on the schedule.

I’m just astonished at the way VaTech got its sh#t pushed in by the Domers last night. Close for two and a half quarters, then the floodgates open.

This Virginia team can beat Miami. Virginia is coming off a bye with two weeks to prepare for Miami. Miami doesn't play it's best games on the road. As we have seen a team that plays fundamental football, doesn't turn over the ball, commit penalty's and is solid in the kicking game can give these Canes fits (i.e Pitt). Miami is coming off a Rivalry game, probably emotionally and physically spent having to overcome a 20 point lead.

Moreover, UVA's Qb (Bryce Perkins) is a DT that has historically given Manny's defense problems. He is much better than Benkurt, UVA's Qb from last season. This game should be a blow out on paper but could easily be a loss. It will be interesting to see how this team reacts as Richt historically has been known to drop a game he shouldn't.
No it can't. Their team was better two years ago and ours was worse. In 16 uva was one of the games where we really got rolling...expect a lot the rpo / power wrap run game. I'd expect us to gain 225+ on the ground and take 2 to the house from 30+ out. If we can replicate an AR82 game breaker in the passing game we will win and cover the spread.

With Mark Richt as our coach, anything is possible - both good and bad

Couldn't disagree more. Richt teams have been incredibly consistent. You can count on 9-11 wins every year and not winning the big game to get to the elite level.

If special teams play lights out we win by 25+.

We also need go go on defense first to start the game.

Miami -6.5 is the opening line. Pucker your ********. Vegas thinks think one comes down to the wire.

For some reason UVA is always physical af up front when we play them, but we should win by 17 at least 17

Jaquan didn’t comeback his senior year to lose to UVA. I don’t think that FSU comeback was exhausting, I think that win was the turning point in the season. Perry grew up right in front of everyone’s eyes.
