The average aid PER student given by Vanderbilt is $51,787. If baseball players simply receive the average payment, they are basically attending Vanderbilt for free.

The lottery awards, coupled with state tuition, provide Florida, Louisiana, Tennessee and Georgia baseball players with free tuition.

Stanford will soon implement something similar to Vanderbilt.

UM needs to find a way to become more competitive in regard to the 11.7 limitation. We have an elite team at present, and this should persist for a few more years, but our financial limitations will continue to hamper us and they may hurt us more in the future.
