Chaminade has been hot dog water for Miami
Jeremiah as the lone wolf I think, the rest seem meh. Great HS players but that never means great college players. I’m trying to remember who I liked from there, I thought Thad was a jag and Trader. Trying to think of another but my memory is trash

Facts. The players we have taking from that school have not had the physical tools that translate to the next level, and it was pretty obvious. Trader has decent physical tools, but not WR1 type physical tools. Simpson is probably the only one who had physical tools to translate to the next level, but he was super raw. J Smith was polished and had elite physical tools, it makes perfect sense why he’s so good at the next level.

Zaquan Patterson.

The two that have played well ... JSmith and Bailey didn't come to us.

The school most known for this in Florida is Armwood.

Always a good program but their individual players rarely pan out to anything special.

In Georgia, they charge more in income and property taxes. In Texas they have less transient communities who love HS ball, so they will pass stupid bonds to build high school ball palaces. Their players generally are not any better, so the ROI of all the lavish spending is probably pretty bad for the communities overall. However, the better private schools like Heritage, STA, Gulliver, Columbus, Benjamin etc have nice facilities. The public schools are very bare bones.

my man some hs in texas have better amenities than UM. **** for sure beating out FIU, FAMU, BETHUNE COOKMAN which are colleges. lol

We barely got schools
I remember while at UM in the mid-60s being shocked at how many High Schools in Dade did not have a gymnasium. The "outdoors" and nice weather sufficed.

Those schools had to play basketball, for example, at the larger high schools that had an indoor court. That was unheard of up north (and probably in most places in the country).
