Top 3 UM Bounty games I've Seen

Great thread, Jassid.

As for a bounty game to add to your list... U-Dub 2001.

The Huskies with the help of the pac 10 refs kept UM from winning the 2000 national title. When they came to the OB in 2001, not only did UM want to win but the Canes team wanted them embarrassed. I'll never forget the Canes being up by like 24 points mid 3rd quarter and seeing Joaquin Gonzales ripping into his team mates about pouring it on the huskies. That was a beat down of epic proportions that night.

They also ended our 56 game home winning streak.
After the game, their fullback when asked about the home crowd and the OB, said...."Intimidating, no, it's kind of got that homey feel to it"

It is 58, not 56. It will never be broken.

Yes, my bad. I get all hyped up thinking back. Effecks my typing.
No one will ever come close to that number.

That was yet another example of pac 10 refs cheating for the pac 10 in out of conference play. The Canes were forced to kick off to start both halves. Then there was an interception along the U-Dub sideline and the ref pretended not to see it. Typical pac ten ****.

56 games??? C'mon man you're better than this.

Yeah, I know.
I have to stop posting at 12:30 am.
Brain goes soft.
Inexcusable. I deserve whatever you guys throw at me.

Klingler was the first guy I thought of. We blew those guys up that Thursday night. Their coach was that guy that looked like a mannequin.
Tim Brown, ND 1987, was next on my list. Alligator arms all day.

Those defenses didn't like the dudes with the Heisman hype. At. All.

The OB was rocking for that Houston game, **** that was a long time ago. We came out and just crushed them.

I think our Canes were mad because people were hating on Houston so much that is seemed like everyone was rooting for us. Canes were not about to let someone take their place as number one at anything.

And proud of it!

That '89 Canes game, and the '85 Monday Night game against the Bears was and still is the craziest and best games ever at that stadium! It was as if the stadium collapsed onto that field, one of the few times I can recall going to a game as a kid, nervous and anxious (like any 10 and then 14 year old would), and then experiencing how that stadium was, the goosebumps, my hair rising from the electricity that night, the noise deafening that my dad couldn't hear me as I was screaming to him, and knowing without any doubt, that we were going to win! All my nerves were swept away prior to kickoff, and it was just time to sit back and enjoy that ride cus we were going to win

Only time I ever saw my dad scream like a girl with excitement lmao

Great memory. I never went to that game but living in Miami at the time and being roughly the same age as you, the electricity was insane leading up to that game. My best buddy was a ballboy for that game and said the noise level on the field was insane.

UM captains were instructed to defer to the 2nd half if UM won the toss. So, after winning the toss, Sapp elected to kick off (instead of deferring). When the 2nd half rolled around, it was UW's choice, and they elected to receive. This was the explanation given at the time.

Not sure if you consider it a bounty game, but definitely a revenge game and boy did we take our revenge. Washington '00. On the way in A fellow Cane asked me what I thought the score was going to be and I said its gonna be ugly, like 58-0 ugly. The jackass husky fans that heard me laughed. I had the spread right, just not the final(65-7), and what a beat down! It's taken until now for UW to recover. I think we scored every possible way you can in football. It was soooooo satisfying.

Go Canes!

Have never been so drunk and excited in the stands of the OB as I was that night. I literally got in the face a father/son UW tandem and just went crazy and acted like a *** when we were up around 40 . Embarrassing to think about it now but 21 year old me loved it . LOL

It's all because the Pac-10 refs were all in Warren's head. They were messin' with his mind.
