Took him longer than we liked, but Mario does have the makings of a good staff for 2023.

With Beard and JT filling the last major spots on the team, I feel good about the team going forward. We should be looking at 8 wins and possibly more with some lucky bounces for 2023. If these new guys work out and stay put, 2023 could be a really positive year like 1999 and 2024 could maybe get closer to resembling 2000.

Drinking the cool-aid again.... a little bit...
Let's see how this transitions into wins, anything but 9-3 or higher record for 2023 would be a win, anything below a 8-4 record would be a failure.

Pretty sure everyone was saying this 12 months ago

After last year I think all we can do is reserve judgment.

I do find it funny though that if THIS staff had been assembled last year that there would've absolutely been a narrative around here (and used against us nationally) that Miami isn't ready or able to spend money on this front to keep up with the big boys

Soooo....in a Gatorade cooler full of 2022 p!ss, we can at least make a small cup of lemonade and take comfort in a) that isn't the case, b) nobody is really trying to say it against us this year, and c) we see that method can absolutely fail- especially when Mario's "process" is involved
I look at it like we have two young up and comer renegades now at OC and DC.

Two things this team has been missing for quite some time…freaking heart and having fun.

If these guys Coach the way they have been billed, hopefully they can install some “give a ****” while letting the guys cut loose and have fun.

Believe it’s been talked about murmurous times on here, but hopefully what we see is growth throughout our entire team. Time will tell how we roll out this coming season and I really hope we put our playmakers in space to create mismatches.

Both coordinators on both sides of the ball were replaced and it will take some time to implement both offense and defense. Always believe we will go into a game and get the win, but realistically we have to be patient for both systems to be fully installed. My hope it’s sooner rather than later.

Fans need to stop comparing anything we're seeing today some "1990 to 2000 and by the following year, 2001"type of trajectory.

What we saw then was some real planets aligning magic that won't ever happen anywhere again.

Miami should take a nice little step forward in year two—especially after such a brutal first year—and by year three Mario should have a pretty decent team.

Mike Norvell looked like a dog for two years in Trailerhassee and year three, he had his quarterback and a team with an identity and the Noles went 10-3.

Granted they didn't beat a ranked team and got a bowl win over a 6-6 team from Oklahoma—but the history books will always show 10-3 and that they whooped Miami in 2022.

Win a bowl game. That's the mission. Let's blow up some mid major team in a mid major bowl and finish 8-5+. Anything more is just extra icing to me. I won't believe we are better than that until I see it, and I'm not going to be taken by surprise if we are dogwater again. No more kool-aid. Go win.

Good news is we finally appear to have a staff. Mario is done, right? Let's talk about how good it is a year from now.

I’m reserved and a little cautiously optimistic. The offense should be a lot better. Not saying lethal or super explosive but 30 PPG should be the floor. The system matches the talent and should yield results.

Defensively there’s just a lot of unknowns. Hopefully improved depth and better can help the unit but until the lights cut on on Saturdays we won’t really know how good or bad the unit will be.

First of all, **** the semenholes.

Constantly revisiting the past is useless and unrealistic. The run we had in the 80’s and 90’s will never be duplicated by Miami for a number of reasons. Mainly, we caught the CFB world by surprise and they didn’t know how to respond at the time because they’d never seen anything like it before.

The rest of CFB not only caught up surpassed us by miles. We’ve dug a deep hole that will take a monumental effort to climb out of. Mario’s first year was an unmitigated disaster. The hole is still deep and the climb out still steep.

tbh, i dont think well ever repeat that run again.

I am still trying to figure out why Addae is still here after many op's pointed out that he did not get along with players and family. Not to mention that Guidry is the DC and a safety coach by trade. Am i missing something?
Not to mention the amount of chunk plays given up by our secondary last year. I'm hoping that Mario knows something that we don't know. If Addae starts spring with us, he's pretty much a lock to be on staff for the 2023 season.
