Too many issues to count

I flew in for the game and my expectations were pretty low, but wow man D$ was right when he said it was over after the 3rd play. From where I sat it looked like half the roster would rather be anywhere else than playing the Noles at Hard Rock on a Saturday night.

We'd better pray this class sticks.

That SoFla *** though...

Seriously.... I mean WTF is happening that we can't score???.... Our QB room has absolutely fell to pieces.... And I hate just putting it on them but that's where it starts...
The one thing that ****ed me off more than anything else was Mario starting Tyler... He should never have suited up.... I'm sorry but I call BS on him "looking good" all week..... The dude made 3 or 4 throws and was toast.... Practice throws and game throws with someone in your face are two entirely different things...
And then he trots Tyler back out again to hurt himself some more.... That was inexcusable.... You risk hurting Tyler permanently with crap like that...
Dude starts the season as a Heisman hopeful and potential first round pick to possibly being damaged goods and never sniffing a NFL roster...
Am I overreacting?? Ok sure I can admit that but in the immediate aftermath of what we just saw I can't help but dwell on it for now.....

Our 3 QBs look terrible. I can see where Tyler may have given them false hope as one of those passes was so crisp, but once he came off, he shouldn’t have gone back in.

Then, Garcia may be good, bad or both, but rotating he and Brown, especially on the goal line made no sense. Literally put his back against the wall and set up for failure, which he did.

Then we play Brown at half, down by 4 scores and run, run, run with no urgency. No creativity, nothing.

No tricks. No treats. Just a con job coaching performance.

I‘m not coming in here and wasting my time and yours posting the same ole drivel about breakdowns, pro’s & cons , who stood out and how I’m feeling as a fan. Nobody wants to read that and tbh I don’t feel like writing it. The game was what it was and so is the season. I’m over it all and I have no emotion about it either way. Nothing was shocking last night and that’s why it was easy for me to turn it off in the third quarter, as if I’ve been watching a bad movie. No anger , sadness or embarrassment. Just another horrible performance on a Saturday. Oh well.

This thread is more about the longterm health of the program and the countless issues staring it in the face . I’m going to make this short and sweet with no sugarcoating.

First and foremost this staff needs changes. Multiple coaches HAVE TO BE GONE!! If not the class will lose guys and current recruits will give Miami no shot. Program changing type recruits Including guys committed. That’s not opinion , that’s purely fact. Nobody wants to play for some of these coaches or their scheme.

We have of a staff of individuals instead of a staff. Coaches that care more about their ego, protecting their brand and moving up in coaching circles versus actually teaching and building relationships. Coaches that came here because they were butthurt at their other job, or had issues with their previous HC’s. When you have coaches leaking crap out or giving quotes throwing players under the bus to cover your own *** you lose the position room. Trust and respect go a long way in coaching and we lack that as a staff. This is far more than horrible coaching , it goes all the way down to recruiting. There’s only a few guys carrying the water and others that think just by showing up to the games everything is Gucci. “You‘ve been recruited , I’ve done my part“ lol.

Yes we have a bad culture , quitters on the roster and lack talent but the issues are much bigger than that. It’s much deeper. There’s toxicity every where and the on field product shows. Chemistry on a staff is just as important as chemistry with a locker room.
Lol you talking about Shattis and Addai aint ya?! Heard Shattis told the players they are the worst team he has ever seen lol! The only thing Addai does is make that stupid face when recruits come SMH! That’s what happens when you don’t let your coordinators bring their own guys and you put together many personalities who think they are all that. That’s on MARIO! He’s not a good Xs and Os guy so he should be the CEO and let the OC/DC run things. He has to strike gold on BOTH coordinators next time or he’s ***ked.

He’s brought guys from Oregon, OL coach and Wr coach who was also the co oc. That’s just offense alone. I can’t imagine that helped with hiring guys, especially guys who have their own coaches / staffs.
Every miami fan with half a brain and not just the blind homers who support everything and ignore red flags new Mario was failing hiring his staff and hiring position coaches before coordinators and taking the search into literally spring ball .

The bolded is where it begins and ends. It shows on the field, there is no cohesion. And that begins with the man up top.

No arguments from me.... I'm stunned...

Here are my thoughts:

Mario-cant fire him so i don't really think about it

OC: Gattis, usually I'd say wait until end of year but he's arrogant AF and cancerous, I'd throw him out of the plane on the way home....or at least fire him immediately.

QB: Tough to coach to a **** scheme, but Jake is possibly ruined. I'd fire him end of year.

RB: Good with Kevin

WR: Gattis, independent of his OC duties I'd fire him as the WR coach

TE: Field is doing his job

OL: Mirabal is legit, been hammered by lazy players and injuries

DC: I've been disappointed with Steele but not sure if I'd retain him or not. I do think the defense sucks more due to stupid/****** players than scheme which is the opposite of what i think about the offense. Undecided, would make a call end of year.

Linebackers: Strong, I'd keep him. These players suck, next person who tells me Flagg is good will be ignored. His recruiting is great too.

DT: Joe is kind of useless, he's one of Mario's boys and apparently helps with Polynesians but seems pretty useless outside of that. He can't recruit for **** and coaches one position group while being assistant Head Coach or something crazy meaning he's extremely overpaid. I don't really care either way unless he actually helps bring in Polynesians, otherwise I'd fire him too. He's not one of the major issues either way imo.

DE: Seems fine but don't really know honestly

DB: Addae sucks both on and off the field. He's also apparently lazy, i can deal with sucking if you give effort but laziness=getting fired end of year.

Mario's grade in hires=F

100%

Once again all I hear about is coaching. No doubt change is needed. 3-4 coaches and about 30 players would be a nice start. Don't ask me to name guys you should know if you watch

Addae + Gattis for sure... Have to imagine Ponce has to be on the chopping block as well at the very least to give a new OC some more influence. Maybe even Kevin Smith and Field.
What makes u come to conclusion that Addae might be problem. Just asking a question cause I honestly want to know.

Well said.

Idk if Ponce is good or bad but has to go - Need a real full time WR coach and the OC should coach/croot QB's like Lash.

Half of these guys are Mario's boys - Mirabel (can stay), Joe, Feld, Ponce. Will Mario man up and fire them?

Mario dug himself a massive hole now with having to fire 1 if not 2 coordinators after 1 season. Who will honestly want to come coach under him? He's gonna have to go for an up/comer (out of the question in my opinion, not Mario's style) or massively overpay a new OC/DC with huge buyout and full control of offense/defense. Better hope the money is there from Ruiz/Rad.

I consider Zo a wildcard cause i have no idea his power here, decision making skills when it comes to staff, and/or ability to stand up to Mario and tell him when he's wrong and must change

There's been plenty of info dropped on the board but he's been a bad recruiter and a bad coach. There's plenty of evidence of both. The best DB we have committed is only committed because of DVD and Mario. Never even mentioned Addae..our safeties (who were supposed to be a strength) and CBs are constantly blowing assignments. It's been said he's a lazy recruiter and I think one of our insiders said multiple times that Addae blew the recruitment of Desmond Ricks.

Ask yourself this question..why should we keep Addae?
