Im not supporting this staff, AT ALL...but...
Look at the Appy St, GT, Pitt and NC St games. We won those by a combined 10 points.
One could say we were "this" close to 3 or 4 wins last year.

Did we not have a CHANCE to win ALL those games. We got our doors blown off by Duke MTSU and now fsu
I’ve heard a lot of positives as well just heard Smith and Kiffen didn’t exactly see eye to eye.

He’s brought guys from Oregon, OL coach and Wr coach who was also the co oc. That’s just offense alone. I can’t imagine that helped with hiring guys, especially guys who have their own coaches / staffs.

Guys across America use assistant/coordinator jobs as stepping stones for bigger positions. Every single staff has them. It can be a good thing. Ambition breeds motivation.

Seriously.... I mean WTF is happening that we can't score???.... Our QB room has absolutely fell to pieces.... And I hate just putting it on them but that's where it starts...
The one thing that ****ed me off more than anything else was Mario starting Tyler... He should never have suited up.... I'm sorry but I call BS on him "looking good" all week..... The dude made 3 or 4 throws and was toast.... Practice throws and game throws with someone in your face are two entirely different things...
And then he trots Tyler back out again to hurt himself some more.... That was inexcusable.... You risk hurting Tyler permanently with crap like that...
Dude starts the season as a Heisman hopeful and potential first round pick to possibly being damaged goods and never sniffing a NFL roster...
Am I overreacting?? Ok sure I can admit that but in the immediate aftermath of what we just saw I can't help but dwell on it for now.....
We are not even talking of winning anymore... we can't even score a TD.. that is how bad it's gotten

BRO FCK THAT. We need to fire everyone and start over, I’m not saying there’s not quality coaches on staff but this is BEYOND embarrassing. Literally nothing is working.
Obviously things are a lot different now financially. From recruiting, to coaching staff, to off field positions. Theres a lot more at stake then years past. A lot of $ invested now. Is possible that Marios role gets reduced and we have competent people hire the staff? Is it too much to ask for someone to hire his staff and he is strictly a recruiter?

I have been a Cane fan since 1963. I attended Miami for both undergrad and graduate school. I was present at, or watched, every possible game since 1963. The only time I didn't get to see the Canes play was when I was in the Navy stationed at Guantanamo Naval Station. My house looks like a Hurricane shrine and my kids, and grand kids, also follow the Canes. I have seen,or been at, a slew of games. Without doubt this is the worst team we have ever fielded.
What's crazy is that some of our players are actually more athletic, and skilled, than on teams from the past.....but they don't perform as if they are. Outside of a few (very few) there's just no fire. It looks like merely wearing the uniform is most important. Their performance...well, not so much.
I don't appraise coaches during the hiring process because I don't follow football as closely as many do, so I support the coach and his coaches blindly. As a fan it's my obligation to support my team. But I can't support the product that we've watched on the field this season. Our offense looks like a high school offense. Our players appear as if they don't know how to execute the plays that are called. If this were an old black and white comedy movie the 2022 Canes would be the equivalent of the Keystone Cops.....pointless and not worth watching.
Unlike those in the know on this board I don't care who the **** coach is; as long as he hires the best coaches that put us in the BEST position to win our games. Looking at this season the staff has failed to do this starting from the HC all the way down to the water boy. Who is to blame? Well, lets start with the college administration who took sooooooo long to rid us of the previous head coach and athletic director. Hiring a new staff is something that should have started much earlier in the process. But that didn't happen.
The solution? Well, as many have posted, since Mario will undoubtedly continue as HC, it is incumbent on HIM to clear the staff of most of the coaches. I would think the AD will encourage him to do that. As many have stated Mario needs to come into the 20's and stop playing 1970's or 80's ball. Will he do that, or how he will do that, I do not know......but I do know that, if he doesn't this team will completely fail and the University will suffer in more ways than one.
Mario, if you read these boards....DO THE RIGHT THING and purge this staff in early December.
