To those predicting only 4, 5, or even 6 wins....

VT , FSU, Clemson, GT, And UVA are all reasonably up in the air.

The consensus by the media and even our board is that we actually have a hard schedule not a "ridiculously easy" one like you state. I think we go 8-4 though strictly off of talent and kaaya's arm, saving goldens job.

Now what I wish would happen.. I think if we lose five he needs to be gone 100%, if he loses 3 or 4 then No Dnofrio needs to be gone.

We haven't beaten FSU since 09. Unless we win coastal or better..if he loses to FSU I say let him go

WHAT? We're not even out of the sanctions period. Have you no respect for Golden's burden? To be fair, he needs another contract extension NOW!

FAU - Win. We wear them at in the 2nd half. 3 backs rush for 100.
Neb - Win ala uF in '13. Nebraska's D is worse than what Florida's O was.

VT- Win. Their D is really good. Their O is way bad. Will be a nail biter, frustrating, but we pull it out.
Clemson - Loss. Closer than you think.
Duke - Win. Tough to "reload" at Duke. They lost some really good talent on offense.
Virg - Win - Law of averages.
NC - Loss- Ahhh...never fails. Bye-bye Coastal.
GT - Win- Our D line is better. They didn't stop us in the 4 minutes we had the ball last year. Make it 6 out of 7 vs the Jackets. Best win of the year.
Pitt - Tossup- Win- Everyone expecting us to lose this one. We win in Quadruple OT on a sack-6.

9-3 (5-3) Confident about the good start. We wont see a good defense 'till October 10.
I was at 8 wins. I flipped Pitt.
The bar is set for Golden. Coastal AND Bowl win or bust.
VT or NC wins the Coastal at 5-3. We're out on tie-breaker.
Good year for the team. Not so good for Golden.

Miami wins 7 or 8 meaningless games this year. Golden is fired in December. In January, Canes fan base uproars in celebration with new coach.

There is no way Miami beats GT if they lose in UNC. Gtfoh with that.
 
Al Golden suck. We play passive football making cup cake games close and underdog games blow outs in defeat. 4-8, epic losing streak in the middle of the season. Maybe fat *** may even get fired actually. Simply think of how many NFL players we had and couldn't beat UVA and Pitt, yep, sums it all up

Go threw last season's schedule with the talent that team had and the only loss they should have had was against FSU. They ended up losing 6 other games.

You can't go by the oh we should win that game logic with AL GOLDEN as the coach
 
Well, our NFL trouble makers are gone and Al and boyfriend are still here so we could lose to anyone --- Al has proven that. We have a real QB so we should be able beat anyone but there is that coaching thing, so who the **** knows.
 
No way! You lost your mind. 9-3 or 10-2 if the D really comes on with the one gap. 7-5 if we play like last year.

Had you told me this time last year we'd go 6-6 with the kind of losses we had with the talent we had, I'd say you were nuts. But last year happened. Therefore, IMO the ceiling this year is 6-6. I doubt we make a bowl game because I think 5-7 is more likely. **** giving a breakdown, game by game, because if anyone had done that last year, we finish 10-2/9-3. But then there's Al. The ultimate talent negator. He can take a 10-2 team and coach them down to 6-6 with ease.
 
The only two games that I can't see us winning at this moment is Clemson and GT. Maybe Pittsburgh because they have arguably 2 of the best 5 players in the ACC(Conner and Boyd).

I understand your point. However if a QB is as good as advertised and " a special" player, they can carry a team as very very far...

But seriously though I'd bet we win 8 or 9 games. Just because that would be the worst possible thing to happen to this program. (stuck with Golden, but not actually winning anything)
We easily have a talented enough team to win the ACC; or at the very least sweep the coastal and make the **** acc championship game.
But this coaching staff has done nothing but show that they can't get these players to play to their potential as a team (mainly on defense).

Please let this happen. The schedule is not that hard, and is rather decent this year. But Golden being Golden, you can't pencil in any W, with the exception of Bethune Cookman and FAU. ****, Cincy on a Thursday night, that's a toss up as well.
