Time To Start #2 over #23 at RB

Watching ND's runningback ****es me off. Dude is out there breaking all kinds of arm tackles and getting to their 2nd level with ease. #23 isnt the same caliber of back as their starting rb. Hopefully #2 becomes that. Definitely has the potential.

Both Chaney and Knighton combined for more carries than Harris. Who starts may not be that big of deal.

And if our oline becomes anything like theirs you will see better runs regardless who's back there.

Cam’s game isn’t making lateral decisions at the line of scrimmage with slow development.....i.e handoffs that take 10 seconds. But that’s the majority of play calls he gets along with inside zone. Cam is supposed to be able to run straight ahead threw holes, not lateral. Strengths are not always being utilized.
Like why was Knighton not in on the RB screen play that Cam dropped, on a bad throw granted, but Cam doesn’t have that type of flexibility if you want to maximize the production of that play.

In all fairness, it’s hard for Cam to see holes when he has to rotate his entire upper body to turn his head.

I’d really like to see Pope step up and donate some of his excess neck to Cam. I think it would be a game changer for Cam

Why was Cam crying on Twitter running like that?? His *** can’t see and he gets up limping after every gain.

My only gripe with Chaney is he looks gassed all the time.
Harris needs to stick his foot in the ground and get north. He bull****s around too much. Knight needs space to work and needs to add weight
i think he's playing with an injury, maybe the shoulder.

Rooster not looking fast enough for how easy he goes down. Chaney if fully healthy would I think start

Time to be realistic about our RB's - they're just average (right now). Time to stop placing all the blame on the OL & Lashlee, and admit the RB's just aren't making enough plays and have to be better.

Cam is what he is. Chaney/Rooster have a lot of potential - but are a long ways away from what I hope their ceiling is.

Each have talent - I'm not writing any of them off - but right now all 3 have issues that are contributing to our run game struggling.

chaney looks like the best long term prospect by far but he's had trouble staying healthy all season and is still very inexperienced. people on this board are obsessed with putting guys who have barely played in their careers right into the starting line up.

cam has actually had two pretty good bounce back games after that horrible stretch starting with clemson. he was making some nice jump cuts today to find some holes bouncing runs outside and he kept the chains moving. i would be in no rush to take him out of the starting line up. cam was 14-63-1 today w/ a long of 15 yards, chaney was 8-25 with a long of 9 yards. it's very clear who was the better back. pump the brakes and let chaney develop a bit, throwing freshmen into the starting line up is not the solution to every problem.
Cam is too indecisive and dances around too much. Just hit the hole hard and go
