QB- flat out sucks- QBR 12.8
O-line-can’t run block or pick up blitz
WR/TE- QB flat out sucks, again QBR 12.8
RB- O-line can’t run block and where’s Homer?
D-line- no communication
LB- never saw them, I think they run straight for the sidelines every play. Only four solo tackles for the entire unit on 76 plays.
CB-Dean needs to take a seat
S-make majority of the tackles
P-is consistently terrible.
Special team- WTF
This team better turn around real fast or we’re in for a long season. LSU offense was nothing special with less than 300 yards total. 3-16 on third downs, worst than Miami, and 3.8 ypc on 41 rushing attempts. I don’t credit LSU as Miami was their own worst enemy, again. We lack discipline and football IQ. That falls on the coaching staff! Time to hire a true OC and fast. Defensively Manny Diaz needs to calm down and play a bit more conservative. I’m all for aggressive D some discipline in sorely needed.
Rosier is too inaccurate to be a college QB. I think he has a nice personality it time for him to use it. For you fans mad at Malik, Perry deserves the same attention. Hand picked by Richt, he has failed this team by not challenging a guy who can’t throw but got himself suspended for this game. Time for Perry to step up or exit left. If Perry doesn’t step up then Willams needs to get first reps this week. I have no idea why Weldon didn’t get a series last night. Not taking QB this cycle needs to be reconsidered.
Most disappointing player/unit in order
Rosier
Special teams/Feagles
LB
O-line
Knowles
Gray
Dean
Joe Jackson
Homer
Richards
If we play like this in two weeks Toledo will beat us.
I hope this is a wake up call for the team but my hopes are fading fast. I laughed at Michigan and Tennessee on Saturday yet here we are.
I'll say this again, take a look at this roster and you'll see a bunch of guys get drafted and play at the next level. I give Richt and Co credit - they have upgraded the roster fairly quickly( and no, there is still some areas to address like Oline certainly) but the problem in my view, is that the QB has absolutely no chance of playing at the next level because his play is so bad it brings down other areas of the team
There are QB's that can literally uplift a mediocre supporting cast(Aaron Rodgers for instance, Tom Brady), the problem isn't that Rosier isn't those two guys the issue is that he's the absolute antithesis of them.
But in terms of the staff(and I hate being the coach blamer, because it's not always about the jockey but the horses) but Searles, Diaz and Hartley are very much under scrutiny as far as Im concerned
Many coaches would take this UM squad in a heartbeat even with it's defiencies - save for QB
