That's my point -- time to start fresh with someone else. Rosier may still be the "safe bet," but his ceiling is winning the Coastal... And even that's questionable. Roll with one of the young guns... Either we catch lightning in a bottle, or they get experience for next year.
 
The 2 ST penalties to end the half were mind boggling to me and a microcosm of this coaching staff. Frustrating as ****

Those were truly WTF penalties. Why in the world are you aggressively going for the block there when you’re 100% getting a short field with nearly 2 min to play to end the half??? Just low IQ coaching and low IQ football
 
QB - Rosier needs to take a seat. Anyone can do what he's been doing in our offense over the past eight games of his career. You can't possibly play worse football.

RB - Richt needs to get his head out of *** and run the football. Someone needs to put a quota of attempts on the board and not stop until you hit it. 31 rushes per game under any game scenario means you likely lost the game. Unacceptable, regardless of OL when you have RBs averaging for their career over 5ypc.

OL - Scaife, Reed, and Gaynor need to play a majority of snaps. No matter how young and inexperienced they are, they couldn't play worse than what we had.

DL - Overrated. Willis was seemingly the only one working his *** off out there and making plays. Ton of mistakes made by the unit. Much like the OL...the unit can't MASH. When it comes down to short yardage, man v. man trench warfare, we ain't got the firepower. Constantly losing this battle on both sides of the football. Why do you think Ed O early in the game said FVCK IT and went for it on fourth down without hesitation...its an easy first down.

The reserve defensive backs are either young or terrible. I will gladly take my Ls with DJ Ivey and Gil Frierson over ever seeing Dean again. I'd rather see anyone with a pulse over Knowles.

The kicking game is embarrassing. Feagles needs to go. Spicer can not be worse. Baxa needs to take a seat. Cardenas can't be worse right now.

I agree with all of this. If the young horses can run, dont let them just stand around in the stable

Hartley is actually worse than Dave Arnold and Joe Pannunzio, and that's hard to be

This, bring in Williams and let him learn trial by fire. We go 9-3 with a true freshman things likely look good for next year, we go 8-4 with Rosier and we are still sitting with our ****s in our hands wondering if we have a QB for next year.

Totally agree. But with that said, the penalty on Harley was complete bullsh1t. He never even touched him. And the one Rousseau...? He jumps, gets undercut and that’s a penalty on him?

Again, I have no clue why they are going for the block in the first place.

Which is the same bull chit Golden pulled w Tracy Howard when he voiced frustration. Would Richt allow an Ed Reed to approach the team like he did against FSU? If Richards calls out Rosier, let him, b/c Richt sure isn’t!

I've been banging this drum for years now. The tide seems to have finally turned against him. The answer is no, he would not have this job at any program, much less a program of the caliber of Miami.

We could all accept a little nepotism if we were winning big. No one would complain if Saban or Meyer hired their son. We aren't winning at that level so we can't accept this level of blatant nepotism.

If the guys ahead of them even had a glimmer of good football, I'd completely understand letting the young players mature, picking your spots to give them playing time. But at this point, its just negligence having Mahoney, Knowles, Jones, Dean, Rosier out there. Over the past 15 years, these are some of the worst players to see the field for this team and think of the ground that covers. Its negligence to continue passing the ball with Rosier when you have rock solid backs - despite terrible OL play - getting positive yards on the ground.

As I pointed out in the Gameday thread...Richt constantly has Rosier throwing on like 2nd and 7, 2nd and 11...ultimately leading to an incomplete 2nd down pass, forcing him to throw again in a very bad 3rd down situation. This was a theme last year and has carried over this year. Rosier stinks, but Richt does him no favors and consistently puts him in a bad spot while neglecting the run game. If you were to run the ball on 2nd down, putting us in a 3rd and 4, 3rd and 3 scenario, maybe we'd actually convert a third down with one of those drags or comebacks or checkdowns he loves to throw that even when complete, fall short of the sticks.

You can't even play field position football with the way we play because we don't have a kicker that can make a FG or a punter that can switch the field for us. Whatever we are doing right now is fundamentally flawed football at its core.

It comes down to once again us not having that great of a coaching staff. I have mentioned it numerous times. We have rookies everywhere and it shows. Yes Hartley can re riot but his ST units have been terrible for years.

Bingo. The opposing DC also knows we don't have a QB. We won't be able to run into a D that is geared up to stop our run until we have a QB that can exploit this.

You’re not better than us lulz. We’re so ****ed because WE PLAYED DOWN TO YOU. We win that game 40-13 if we had an average QB...the only thing last night proved to us is that we’re being held back by a QB that didn’t even belong on the same field as our players last night...that’s it. Other than that our team is whole heartedly better than yours.

LB- never saw them, I think they run straight for the sidelines every play. Only four solo tackles for the entire unit on 76 plays.

Special team- WTF

This team better turn around real fast or we’re in for a long season. LSU offense was nothing special with less than 300 yards total. 3-16 on third downs, worst than Miami, and 3.8 ypc on 41 rushing attempts. I don’t credit LSU as Miami was their own worst enemy, again. We lack discipline and football IQ. That falls on the coaching staff! Time to hire a true OC and fast. Defensively Manny Diaz needs to calm down and play a bit more conservative. I’m all for aggressive D some discipline in sorely needed.

Rosier is too inaccurate to be a college QB. I think he has a nice personality it time for him to use it. For you fans mad at Malik, Perry deserves the same attention. Hand picked by Richt, he has failed this team by not challenging a guy who can’t throw but got himself suspended for this game. Time for Perry to step up or exit left. If Perry doesn’t step up then Willams needs to get first reps this week. I have no idea why Weldon didn’t get a series last night. Not taking QB this cycle needs to be reconsidered.
