was reading a GATA board to lol at their *****ing about our sanctions and came across this:

Florida’s offensive woes this season, particularly in the past two games, have confirmed what Miami Central running back Dalvin Cook already knew when he committed to UF in April.

The Gators need him.

Some fans are calling for offensive coordinator Brent Pease to be fired following losses to LSU and Missouri, but Cook doesn’t think coaching is the problem.

“I think a coaching change wouldn’t help at all,” he said. “They have the coaches. We just have to get the right players there. If you didn’t really know football and you just liked Florida, you would probably decommit right now. The offense isn’t looking too good from an outsider’s perspective.

“But the offensive line needs some work, and they’re lacking the playmakers. There are plays there to be made with what the coaching are calling, but nobody is stepping up and making them. I feel like I can do that.”

The 5-foot-11, 192-pounder spoke with both UF coach Will Muschamp and defensive backs coach Travaris Robinson, his primary recruiter, over the weekend.

“They just told me hang in there and that they need me in The Swamp to bring the excitement back and get the offense going how it used to be,” he said.

With quarterback Will Grier and receiver Ermon Lane also on board, two recruits Cook saw in action at The Opening, he believes the trio of All-Americans will turn things around.

“I look at the future, and the future is bright for Florida,” he said. “The guys we got coming in can make an impact at the positions that are lacking, and we’ll be alright.”

Cook has always wanted to take trips other schools despite his pledge to the Gators, and that’s still the case. He has already been to Texas and will officially visit Florida State, Arkansas and Southern Cal.

Cook planned on using his last official to visit UF, but he now wants to check out either Alabama, Ohio State or South Florida instead.

“I just want to see other places, but I’m 100 percent committed to Florida,” he said. “I’ve been there three times and saw everything I needed to. The only thing I haven’t seen is a game, and I’m going to the Florida State game.”

Cook said he will not back off his commitment if UF continues to struggle in 2013.

“If you’re a Gator, and you’re a real Gator, you’ll be there no matter what happens,” he said. “Every program has ups and downs. Our time will come. We just have to be patient.”

Not buying it.... he's giving the Gators what they want to hear right now.

When are we going to stop following everything this kid says?
If, by a miracle he flips to Miami then he deserves to be mentioned here. Until then, please lets stop talking about him.

Fuuck him.

We have Yearby and Powell. With Duke, Crawford and Gus.

That's a great stable of RB's.
We don't need some guy who has already told us to go Fuuck ourselves.

Enjoy the obscurity in Gainesville, and don't come calling in 2 years when you want to transfer.

What RB would want to go play behind that garbage o line? Does he think the 3 ol recruits are going to make it that quick of a turnaround lol? I would really hate to see him rot in Gainesville, but it sounds like he just doesn't want to compete. When we were winning, we always had players with a lot of football smarts. If Cook and Lane think its a smart decision to stay committed to uf, then that may be the best school for them.

he wants to be stubborn about UF... let him be. We will get ours.

Dalvin, go to UF. Please. Muschump is gone in 2 years, and complete rebuilding will occur.

He'll probably be an all-american safety here anyway.

He was also writing recruiting journals for Clemson, saying how he couldn't wait to get there......
Not sayin he is gonna flip here, but take that **** with a grade of slaw.

Lets be real the kid loves attention and wants to always do an interview to keep his name out there. Trust I dont blame him I would want that too but when everybody continues to talk about and live off of what he says you're feeding into all of this that he's doing. Theres a reason why other UM commits arent doing nearly as many interviews because they aren't all about that but there are some just as talented and valuable as Cook. Long story short theres going to be more interviews then we can count coming up so everybody needs to stop worrying about him at least until he visits here

I'm sure all his Gata teammates will welcome him with open arms after basically putting the entire offense on blast.

For all that "playmakers" talk, he should know Driskell was the #1 QB in his class (Rivals). Matt Jones was supposed to be a stud. He is right about Pease though. He's not the problem. Muschamp is the problem & I hope he stays there forever!

Throughout his entire recruitment, I've never got the feeling that he was genuinely interested in Miami, but just was just more impressed with UF. Like I've said previously, he may decommit from UF, I just doubt it'll be to pledge UM. I hope I'm wrong, but he just sounds like a kid who doesn't want to be here.
