Tight end coach will be

What's your proof that Hartley is a downgrade? Bet you don't catch him spewing Goldenisms, the 2 years he coached TEs at Marshall they(the tight ends) were very productive and he has proven he can recruit(id argue it's harder to recruit to Marshall then Miami). Those factors alone make it at worse a wash IMO. I appreciate what Larry Scott did for Miami but he reportedly declined to return. Who did you want to hire? Mario? Not a fan of that idea, especially with the local coaches clamoring for him to be HC. Think that would be a problem waiting to happen.

Mario would have been a better hire than Hartley

Again I say. Who do you people complaining expect on this staff? Nick Saban Urban Meyer? In case you've missed the last 15 years WE SUCK. Maybe just maybe all these slam dunk home run pipedreams don't want to come here. Did that thought ever cross your minds? It pains me to say all that but its the truth. Now chill the **** out & let this play out.

Don't disagree that Mario would have been a better hire for TE coach just not sure how realistic an option that was.

I feel confident that Hartley will get the job done . . . the way Richt Wants The Job Done. Actually, I feel confident that all his coaches/coordinators will get the job done. And unless and until I see evidence to the contrary (on the field in real games) my confidence
won't wane.

But, I get the concern. We've been waiting for a decade and a half for this Juggernaut to dominate major college football again. I'm there too. I've just decided that a guy who averaged 10 wins a year in the SEC over a 15 year period knows a lot more about putting together a winning team and staff than me or anyone on this forum. With all due respect, of course.

Quite frankly, Richt could hire f-ing Pinocchio and I'd be fine with it, because I would know he had a very good reason for making the hire. So, maybe it's time to just sit back and relax in the knowledge that . . . all is well at TheU!

For those of you that just can't help second guessing one of the best coaches in college football for the last decade and a half, maybe an ego check is in order. Or . . . could it be, your a worthless gator/nole troll.

Now, back to my Cigar!

You're a very trusting man. I'm not. Been following Canes football far too long to give the guys in charge any benefit of the doubt

Maybe an ego check is in order.

1) Richt has more football knowledge in his little finger than you could ever hope for, other wise you wouldn't be trolling this forum you'd be coaching.

2) Since you felt it necessary to qualify your Fan Prowess, I'll qualify mine. My family and friends have been involve with this university since it's beginning. Including the founding family. My family and friends have their names on the Ring of Honor. My family and friends have been Hall of Fame players at TheU and have gone on to play, in most case, long NFL careers.

Sorry to throw all this at you son. But, you felt the need to qualify your Fan Prowess. So, I qualified mine. And as far as being a trusting man. Well, I would say I'm a knowledgeable man.

And my knowledge tells me Richt knows a whole **** of a lot more about building a winning college football program in the SEC. Certainly more than I know, you know or quite frankly anyone on this site knows. And I know he Will do even better in the ACC, period.

Al Golden and Randy Shannon know more football than you or I. If that's the bar, how come it didn't work out?

I couldn't agree with you more.

These fans are either 1) suffering from a bad case of Al Golden Hangover (AGH Syndrome), if so get over it and join the living.

2) Or fans with un-tempered EGO's. Thinking they know more than a guy that averaged 10 wins a year in the SEC. Wake The F#$% UP!

3) Or the standard trolls from uf/fsu.

4) And possibly the staff running this forum. What? Yeah, the site's activity has dropped precipitously since the Golden Controversy ended with his firing. The Richt hiring has calmed the controversy. He's a proven winner! Where's the controversy. Who in their right mind could disagree with his hiring.

So, someone needs to create controversy to bump up the site's activity and increase clicks on the ads. Just follow the money.

Amen. These lunitics don't even remember how to be happy.

You think Mario leaves Bama as OL coach to coach TEs at UM? I don't.

I do not unless he was named AHC, Co-OC and knew that Richt was on a 5-7 year plan with indicators of him being the next guy. On the flipside I don't think it helps Mario that he has bailed on Miami a couple times already

why would mario leave Bama for a program that didnt even request an interview? that was something his reps say he puzzled him and dude bailed on miami already so coming home isnt a priority.

Exactly, I guarantee you Mario is gonna try and piggyback the success at Bama into a head coaching job. I doubt he'll ever be back at UM unless it's as head coach.

Mario Had that position here with Assistant HC and ditched us for Bama. So he's going to leave the job he has....for a job he left for the one he currently has? Makes perfect sense.
