My father was in Patton's 3rd army, 26th division, 104th regiment. He drove the Red Ball and fought in the Bulge. As much **** as he saw, he was glad he wasn't there for D-Day and didn't have to see any of the camps.

He'd have been 98 last July.

God bless every last one of those men.

I don’t believe it.

The Ukrainians have never had a high level Sniper program in their Special Forces history.

In the last European Sniper Team competition at the 7th Army Training Command & Joint Multinational Readiness Center in Hohenfels Germany, they didn’t even compete. Slovenia, Latvia & Turkey have had multiple top 3 finishes, Ukraine has never even placed.

Over the last few months or so, there’s been all these stories coming out about Ukrainian Snipers from their SBU Unit & the 3rd Special Purpose Detachment from Kyiv, but IMO it amounts to nothing more than well crafted War-Time propaganda. CNN & MSNBC doing in-depth cover stories about what’s supposed to be”clandestine” & invisible Sniper units on the frontlines in the Russian War. It’s classic winning hearts & minds strategy that we used during the Iraq & Afghanistan Wars.

I’m pretty certain most of the actual Ukrainian Snipers are really just Latvian & Polish Augmenters who were apart of the joint US-NATO training program. We never heard a word about Ukrainian Snipers in any previous conflicts until now & anybody who knows that world understands you don’t just wake up & start taking 2+mile long shots & clearing it.

There have only been a handful that have even been verified on record, I highly highly doubt a Ukrainian would even be in the discussion given how fairly new most of their Snipers are.

Sadly, we very quickly went from the greatest generation to the piece of **** generation.

Former Blue Squadron Chief, who got reassigned to Gold after Extortion 17.

MOH recipient

A lot of them thought Ryan Reeves, who lost his life, should’ve gotten an MOH too. Ran and was shot 8 times to make sure they breached and got to the DR before they were able to kill him.
