Tidbits on Manny Diaz perception

Smart has bag boosters to help him acquire the best talent, and he has deep pockets from the administration to spend money on the staff primarily 1.5 million for the best OL coach in America.

No bags and no Pittman and smarts a corch.

We saw Richt's success drop after coming to Miami. Clearly there's a reason.

Manny Diaz, the coach all of us didnt really want... but it turns out- the one we all needed

Being he worked under CMR, I think we all assumed it would be more of the same. Clearly Manny must of been as frustrated as all of us with the previous HC. He is the walking, talking, anti-CMR.

go back to some of the interviews of his last November, and you could sense the frustration of Diaz and what was transpiring inside the building. It's interesting, in retrospect, while many of us -- including myself -- wanted new blood from outside the program, perhaps this intimate knowledge of what ailed this program made Diaz the perfect hire

So far, so good....

Perception is great, but it does nothing if doesn't align with reality. Manny needs to win to continue this "perception" of he's legit. Win on the field and now we'll be cooking with gas.

Huge difference between on/off field perceptions re: performance.

Look now further than Jerry Glanville, Rex Ryan, and Jim Harbaugh (at Mich) types.

Great game outside the lines, no championships inside them.

I have a hard time believing blake just woke up one day and was a better AD. I think we got lucky. He was the comfortable hire (much like most of the last couple hires) but Manny secretly was a savage and had a plan that fit what all fans want to see at UM. He still hasnt coached a game but hes definitely breathed some life into the program

Manny wasn’t secretly a savage. If you talk to people who know him and they talk about how brilliant Manny is. He was a known commodity at the U but there was no way Richt was going to be pushed out. That’s why it is so incredible that Richt made the decision to step down so the U could hold on to Diaz!
