Tickets still available for Miami vs. Notre Dame

The University would be well served letting those upper deck seats go very cheap for minors, to be verified at entry. An investment that will pay off later down the line.

So you think it makes sense to spend several hundred million dollars to build a "soccer style" stadium with 60k seats when they already have a super bowl quality NFL stadium with 65k seats? And let me guess, it should be close to campus so they can get a larger percentage of the massive 12k student body to go to the games.

Yes, you ignorant dope. We need a greater level of control over our football facilities.

This "super bowl quality NFL stadium" was built in the 1980s (though it has been renovated) and the entire parking lot has been gutted for **** like Formula 1, tennis, and "the Dolphins practice facility". Many of us who donate more than enough money have lost parking passes because we don't buy 8 season tickets. And the tailgating areas are terrible, they are difficult to navigate in daylight, let alone exiting in the nighttime.

And you clearly don't understand the long-term value of getting a larger percentage of the student body to go to games. Here's a hint, it's not a "gameday issue", it's a lifelong issue. Alums like myself (80s and 90s) are far more engaged with the university, donate more money, and show up to more events, which is something that UM desires. This is a phenomenon observed at major universities across the country, it is not unique to UM. The UM alums from, say, the late 2000s and early 2010s (and I know this, because I am active in the Alumni Association) are disaffected and transactional with their support, they do not have anywhere near the level of UM participation and school spirit when compared to alums who spent all their collegiate Saturdays at the Orange Bowl.

But, yeah, we're always going to have a bunch of uninformed snide dip****s who can't wait to tell us how we should be sooooo grateful to be in Joe Robbie Stadium.

Bull. ****.

Can this school stop being so ******* cheap. Lower the price and sell this ***** out. Making us look like a joke
Question Mark What GIF by MOODMAN

I said it yesterday. Think there’s going to be major upper deck areas with bright aqua blue seats showing for the entire world to roast us not selling this game out
and when you are wrong will you self ban so we don't have to deal with your stupidity ever again?

What TF else is there to do in Knoxville or Lincoln or College Station? There is serious competition for entertainment dollars in Miami. Same reason USC doesn't sell out.
And UCLA is in worse shape with a stadium 20 miles away from campus

Sporting events are expensive. Bigger games are more expensive. I don't know what else to tell some of you.
The vast majority of people are blue collar -which our country needs a helluva lot more of than more lawyers - that have to budget their spending.

I don’t understand their thought process with this. Who is monitoring that this is “alcohol free”…. And to your point tickets should be dirt cheap because of the alcohol free marketing

Our athletic department and ticketing office are a total joke
It's called the family section dip****.

The ushers. You can't bring alcohol into the section. And if someone does something sneaky, you can always text stadium security.

I get that it's a strange situation. Nobody has to like/agree with it. But the policy exists. Some people DO want to take their kids to the games and not worry about drunks (I'm fine with the drunks).

I want it to sell out. I've been a season ticketholder for a long time.

$300 is expensive. It's also a big game. You're paying whatever it takes to get in.

If this is the only game of the year someone intends to attend, it's not a crazy price. If it was the only game I'm going to, I wouldn't have to think twice about it. Ditto if I was only going to ND and UF.
300 a ticket not including parking food etc is a hard price for families. come on man. its not worth going to games anymore (i am a STH so ill be there) when income is limited and everything costs a lot more than it did (including housing (insurance, property taxes, utilities) when you can watch for free at home with all your comforts.

****, I was coming in to drop a Canes Connection membership link, but nevermind...

See (some of) you all on Sunday!

I complained to @DMoney that the cost of Canes Connection was too high, and told him that I was going to cut the cord and join a cheaper collective. He then gave me the next 16 years of membership for $5 a year. I learned this brilliant technique from all the CIS members who pay the cable companies pennies on the dollar...

maybe talk to their AD then. those non alcohol sections are family sections. SFL isnt all rich families who can afford those prices (esp considering the new families that moved down here post covid arent the ones going to this game).

Bunch of whiny crybabies who just paid twice as much to see "The Weeknd".
Nah weeknd tix were cheaper, Im guessing due to doing two stadium shows which is crazy.. Now Chris Brown tix were a GRIP! :ibis-roflmao-sm3:

I got my season tix tho and will take kids to other games with lower attendance with free tix on here like I have done for yearssss.. That strategy netted us an all american been doing it for soo long.. lol
