Uhhh....having a safety make a linebacker-type headhunting hit on a big TE is precisely what landed us in this OJ pickle...

I'm not against making a big hit, but I'd prefer not to play a safety as an undersized LB.

He could at least do it on passing downs. You can’t worry about injuries. Sometimes that stuff is just unavoidable. And Thornton plays with such reckless abandon, it could happen any time, regardless of what position he’s playing.

Bryce Fitzgerald. He has prototypical corner size and speed, he’s the best athlete in the secondary, he’s fluid and his ball skills are ridiculous.

Fitzgerald, Poyser, Thornton and Dunnigan are four of our best players and I’d like them on the field as much as possible. This option makes some sense with corner injuries.

We won’t know until seeing it in games, but this is a good point in the schedule to experiment.

Poyser comes down hill to make tackles and takes **** poor angles . That needs to be fixed

I mean that's basically what he played vs stanford (big nickel). That will be his role this year.
