Bryce Fitzgerald. He has prototypical corner size and speed, he’s the best athlete in the secondary, he’s fluid and his ball skills are ridiculous.

Fitzgerald, Poyser, Thornton and Dunnigan are four of our best players and I’d like them on the field as much as possible. This option makes some sense with corner injuries.

We won’t know until seeing it in games, but this is a good point in the schedule to experiment.

InjurIES? 👀

I was thinking this as well, but I guess it really depends on whether Lucas is also expected to miss significant time. If not I would bet Fitz stays where he's at.

Still wish we had Fitz in ZP’s role. C’est la vie.

There was a lot of offseason emphasis on increasing our takeaways from last season and it seems like we’re putting our best playmaker everywhere except the position that caused him to have 37.5% of the team’s interceptions last season.

What about players such as Jennings, Ewald, Waters?

All highly recruited

Are they just not ready?

Ewald is not like that, and the other guys are super young. Ryan Mack will probably see more pt and I would say either Dunnigan or Fitzgerald will get reps at CB. If one of those young guys could step up that would be great, but I don’t see that.

S/NB- Omar Thornton, Fitzgerald or Dunnigan, Poyser, Day, Portis, and Taylor

CB- O’Connor, Brown, Mack, ?

Yes this will allow Dunnigan to get more playing time at Safety.

Bryce played 61 snaps against Stanford, but I barely noticed him out there. It was that kind of game.

Pretty sure he'd be just fine at CB and we've certainly got a schedule conducive to experimenting if need be.

Or we could try Dunnigan at CB if it will leave Bryce at FS.
