Thoughts on rosier sitting down with tvd?

You think that is his motivation? Rosier was also very candid about it. I doubt the kid ever thought he was going to play let alone start. That in its own right is a lessons learned and something he can pass on any kid he is mentoring. I posted Malik is instructing in Orlando. Good for him. I hope he makes a gazillion dollars. He wasn't a great fit for what Mark was running, but the kid gave his all. Despite the **** the fanbase gave the kid, he still loves his alma mater.
Giving your all for only 1.5 of your 4 years in cfb doesnt qualify you to coach college qbs. Mentoring the youth is fine but this is just another example of UM amateur hour.

Pretty dumb thread, and I'm not dunking on you Brock, but this should be completely moot. Nobody should have any issue with this in the slightest. Malik has turned to coaching since his playing days ended, and the fact that he's working with our kids should be applauded, not questioned.

And as many others in this thread have said, a TON of average or worse players have become elite coaches. As a matter of fact, the majority of great coaches were NOT elite players. Sean McVay played WR at the other Miami for 3 years and caught 39 passes and never scored a TD. I'd say he's got a pretty good understanding of the game. Good for Malik for taking the time to help, and good for TVD for accepting the help. I think it speaks volumes about both kids. This is what Miami SHOULD be.
Dabo caught 2 balls as a walk-on at Alabama. Saban was a 5'7" midget defensive back at Kent State. Meyer was a mediocre defensive back at Cincinnati during their glory days. Yeah, they had no glory days...lol. Lincoln Riley was a walk-on at Texas Tech. Jimbo Fisher played Division III.

Kids doing work. I like it. It's better than making home movies with other players' girlfriends or having the HIGH score in both Donkey Kong and bong hits. Still wish Cade Weldon would have gotten a shot. God Bless his ***-eating heart!

Go Canes!

That Pitt game though. We were ranked number 2. And he's throwing the ball in the dirt in front of wide open guys.
He was playing with a bum shoulder and 2 of his weapons were out. Had AR and Herndon been playing I think we would have won and given Clemmie a better game

I will never forget that moment at Doak. the crowd was roaring, the band was playing, the noles were doing the stupid arm chant **** and Malik "Big Balls" Rosier comes out of the time out engaging the crowd to be even louder. see below at 2:34:40. can't watch that enough

perhaps Mark Richt's best playing at Miami.

LOL. Watched the last drive again. This Malik dude, with 19 seconds to go, says "bring on the crowd noise." And, then Berrios, with another pair of huge balls, breaks a tackle for the first down. Jesus. What an amazing drive.

The ND game, the VT game and the FSU win when we hadn’t beat them in 5 years..AND the only UM QB to have won the coastal. Yeah Malik can walk around Hecht with his head held high and hand out a little advice too. Some of y’all are crazy. That ND win was the best win we have had in over a decade! Lol! **** some of y’all are quivering in your boots that we might not beat the bum teams left on our schedule! Lol

Whatever TVD is doing is working. I don't care who he is working with of watching film with keep doing it. I just wish Mandy was fired before TVD caught fire.

it was the best drive of Richt's tenure. the two handoffs to Homer were brilliant. the play calls to berrios also. the second cager throw? not so much.

in comes Langham for one play and he catches a TD. it was euphoria.

This is literally a good thing.

At the very worst, Malik has years of experience to share with TVD. Any hate from this is dumb. Malik wasn't very talented, but had plenty of success through toughness and other attributes. He was a good Hurricane and seems like a good dude.

Yep, the greats can skate by sometimes on talent and don't have to do everything fundamentally correct. Borderline players have to do everything the right way to even have a shot.

I think Malik will make a good coach in the future. He has always been helpful with Cane QBs.

I actually see Malik at home games pretty often. Glad he's getting into coaching.

Def the most exciting. But I think the best drive of Richts tenure was the first drive of his tenure. Against App St. I think was Quick out, bubble, quick out… TD.

Went downhill real fast.
